Chapter: The Barbecue Gathering and a Game of Secrets

The day began like any other, but little did the group know that this one would be special. Mahin called everyone into the living room early in the morning. The entire house was buzzing with curiosity as the friends gathered, wondering what Mahin had to say.

"So, why did you call us all here?" Saif asked, rubbing his eyes from the lack of sleep.

Mahin cleared his throat with a grin. "The original owner of this house is coming today."

Everyone gasped. Junnat raised an eyebrow. "Wait, why? Why so suddenly?"

"I don't know," Mahin admitted, "but I have an idea. Why don't we throw a barbecue party in the garden? It'll be a great way to welcome her. We can invite the neighbors too."

The suggestion lit up the room. Everyone quickly agreed with the plan, and the preparations began. Mahin divided the group into two teams. He, Anisha, Santo, and Junnat would go to the grocery store to gather supplies for the party. Meanwhile, Saif, Mahiru, Rahul, and Roja would stay back and prepare the barbecue setup.

**At the Grocery Store**

Mahin, Anisha, Santo, and Junnat were walking through the grocery aisles, gathering ingredients for the evening's festivities. As they filled their carts, Mahin noticed that Anisha seemed a bit distracted, as if she had something on her mind.

He leaned over to her and whispered, "Hey, Anisha, is something bothering you?"

Anisha blushed slightly, but before she could answer, Mahin gave a quick excuse to Santo and Junnat. "Hey, why don't you guys grab some barbecue sauce from the next aisle? We'll meet you at the checkout."

Once they were alone, Mahin looked at Anisha more seriously. "So, what's up? I can tell something's on your mind."

Anisha hesitated, then finally spoke. "Why did you do that in the kitchen yesterday? You know, when you almost kissed me?"

Mahin smiled softly. "Honestly, I don't know. I think I just wanted to."

Her eyes widened. "What do you mean by that?"

Mahin chuckled. "I don't know, but don't worry. I'd never do anything to hurt you. I just like you a lot. Will you... be my friend?"

Anisha felt a rush of warmth at his words. She smiled and nodded. "Yes, of course."

Just then, Santo and Junnat returned with the sauce. "We found it!" Santo announced proudly, holding the bottle up.

"Great," Mahin said, standing up straight again. "Let's head back."

**At the House**

Back at the house, Saif, Mahiru, Rahul, and Roja had completed setting up the barbecue. They were now lounging in the garden, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere as they awaited the others' return.

When Mahin's group arrived, the barbecue was quickly fired up, and the garden was filled with the savory scent of grilled meats and vegetables. They laughed, joked, and enjoyed the warm sun on their faces as they prepared for the owner's arrival.

After an hour, the doorbell rang. Everyone quickly rushed to the front door to greet their mysterious landlord.

The door opened to reveal a stunning woman, probably around 27 years old, with long, flowing hair and a confident smile. She was elegant yet approachable, with an air of maturity that instantly captivated everyone.

"Hi! You must be Alya-san!" Mahiru greeted her with a bow. "We've heard so much about you."

Alya smiled warmly. "Yes, I'm Alya. And wow, is that a barbecue setup I see in the garden? What a lovely surprise."

Mahin grinned. "We thought it would be a fun way to get to know each other. We've invited the neighbors too."

As if on cue, the neighbors arrived, including UA, Hayato, Hori, and Saki. The group was soon engaged in lively conversation, and laughter echoed through the garden.

**The Games Begin**

After the food, Alya suggested they play a game to get to know each other better. "How about a game of Truth and Dare?" she said with a mischievous smile.

The group agreed eagerly, sitting around in a circle as Alya began to direct the game.

"The first dare goes to Mahin," Alya said, her eyes twinkling. "How many girlfriends have you had in the past?"

Mahin smirked and replied coolly, "None."

Alya looked surprised. "Really? It doesn't seem like it."

Mahin shrugged. "Just because it doesn't seem like it doesn't mean it's not true."

Next, it was Anisha's turn. Alya asked her the same question. "And you, Anisha? How many boyfriends?"

Anisha blushed and answered quietly, "None."

The game continued, and soon it was Saif's turn. Alya asked him what he thought about Mahiru.

Saif, always honest, replied, "Mahiru is a great student, a fantastic cook, and a kind-hearted person. She helps everyone around the house and always puts others first."

Mahiru smiled softly at the compliment, and Alya turned to her. "What do you think about Saif?"

Mahiru looked thoughtful before replying. "Saif is a good guy. Sometimes he acts a bit childish, but he's smart and carefree in a way that makes him interesting."

Next, Alya asked Junnat about Santo's hobbies. Junnat laughed and replied, "Santo is obsessed with Genshin Impact and anime. He pretty much does whatever he wants."

Alya turned to Santo and asked what he thought Junnat's biggest flaw was. Santo thought for a moment before answering. "She trusts people too easily. She's always so kind and good to everyone. And she doesn't realize just how cute she really is."

Junnat blushed deeply, embarrassed but pleased by his words.

The game continued with lighthearted banter until Alya introduced the next round, a card game that revealed people's personalities. Each person drew a card, and Alya interpreted their meaning.

Saif drew the samurai card, symbolizing his desire to be alone while protecting those he cares about. Mahiru drew the angel card, reflecting her kindness and caring nature. Santo's card was a bullet, representing his fast, determined personality. Rahul's was a lion, symbolizing strength and laziness in equal measure. Junnat drew a lily, signifying beauty, purity, and life.

Roja's card was a bird, representing a free spirit that could be a loyal partner if tamed. Anisha's card was a symbol of a perfect wife, a compliment that made her blush even more.

Finally, Mahin drew his card-a demon. The card represented someone who fiercely loved his close ones and gave no second chances to his enemies. Everyone laughed, agreeing that it suited Mahin's bold personality. But Mahin wasn't done. He drew another card, revealing it to be the King card. Together with the demon card, it formed the title "Demon King."

Saif laughed and said, "It's like you were born for that title!"

The group burst into laughter, the air light and joyful as they continued their party long into the night. Alya eventually said her goodbyes, reminding them to take care of the house and each other.

As the night drew to a close, they all sat around the bonfire once again, feeling content and at peace with their new life. The future was uncertain, but with their growing friendships and the memories they were making, they knew they could handle anything that came their way.
