The sky above Dhaka was a soft shade of orange as the evening sun dipped lower, casting long shadows across the bustling streets. Inside the crowded terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, four boys stood side by side, each holding a one-way ticket to Tokyo.
Mahin adjusted the collar of his jacket, his usual confident smile playing on his lips. He could feel the eyes of passing girls lingering on him, but today, he wasn't paying much attention. This was the start of something new-a new country, a new school, and perhaps... something more.
"Mahin, are you ready?" Saif's voice broke his thoughts. Saif, the quiet one of the group, was always focused, his mind seemingly a step ahead of everyone else.
"Of course," Mahin replied with a grin. "Japan is going to be amazing. And who knows? Maybe I'll find someone special there."
Santo, leaning lazily against a pillar, yawned. "I'm just excited for all the late-night gaming sessions after class. Who needs a girlfriend when you've got a Genshin Impact event to grind?"
Rahul chuckled softly, his face turning a slight shade of red at the mention of girls. "Speak for yourself, Santo. I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of attention," he muttered, thinking of the countless K-dramas he'd watched where the shy protagonist always seemed to fumble his way into romance. He shook his head, wondering if his own experience would turn out to be similar.
The boarding announcement rang out across the terminal, jolting them back to reality. This was it-the moment their lives would change forever.
