CHAPTER NINE

• AUTHOR'S POV •

Soon, the ritual of vidaai was to done and then Kundra's left the place along with Teju and the cutie, Kiana..While Elder Kundra's with Aaroohi had left early to welcome the newly weds;Riva and Aditya were there with Tejran and their Lil bundle..

Aditya Jiju was driving the car while Riva was sitted beside him on passenger seat.. While Teju and Karan were sitting at back with Kiana on Teju's lap.. Teju had changed Kia's clothes after vidaai before leaving as she had fallen asleep during pheras only, so that she doesn't get uncomfortable in her sleep..

"Give her to me,your that design on lehnga may cause rashes to her.." Said Karan..

While Teju too noticed it and hence gave Kiana to him who made her sleep on his lap and then continued staring his lil beauty.. Soon they reached Kundra Mansion and then after completing the after marriage rituals, everyone dispersed to their rooms.. Teju too was taken to Karan's room by Riva di and Aarohi.. While Kiana was still with Karan..

As soon as Teju reached the room, she was surprised.. After making Teju comfortable, Riva dii amd Aarohi left while Teju still was busy staring her surrounding.. She was surprised seeing how Karan has made efforts for Kiana like he has brought both crib and a swinging craddle for her and not to forget that he had got a corner customized with a shelf there filled with different toys and that's when Teju remembered,how Karan had asked her to bring Kia's favorite toys only and also he had said to bring only limited clothes of Kiana.. And now she understood why he had said that..

She is just tongue tied seeing his efforts.. Soon Karan too came inside the room with Kiana and he made her sleep on the bed securing her with pillows.. And then he saw Teju and that's when both stood at their place with the awkwardness lingering in the atmosphere of the room..

"Umm..Thank you,for all the things you are doing for Kia.." Teju said breaking the awkward silence which was present in the room for like an eternity..

"It's nothing..And anyways,now she is my daughter too and hence I would like to do things fir my princess and make her feel like a real princess..." Karan replied..

"But then too, Thank you..You know, you taking care of her,doing things for her is really hear touching and a big deal..And who in this world would like to do anything for a baby which is not his or hers..S.." Said Teju but before she can continue further, Karan interrupted her and said,

"She is my daughter now,and i won't like it,if you say that she isn't my daughter.."

While Teju just hummed, Karan indicated her to sit on the couch and then he too got settled down beside her, maintaining a respected distance and then said,

"Teju, I know that am not biological father of Kiana, but from the time i had seen her and met her, I had felt an emotional connection with her..It's the truth that it would take sometime for me to become her father,but trust me, I do feel that protectiveness and possessiveness for her and that's real..From the time i had decided to get married to you, I accepted her with my whole of heart..And i would readily like to do anything for her which a father does..So please from now on, leave that formality and the thing that am not her biological father..And it doesn't mean i am denying you to not tell her that am nit her biological father and Agastya is..You can always tell her that, in future,when she is enough mature and that time i would be there with you.."

"Hmm..You are right.." Teju agreed.. And then again sitting in an awkward silence for a while, Karan said, removing the awkwardness lingering in the atmosphere,

"I think we should now call it off for the day..Even you would be tired.."

Teju hummed and then went to change her clothes in the closet while Karan waited till she came and then he too got changed..

While coming from closet, Karan brought an extra bed,and seeing him arranging it on floor, Teju said,

"Umm, you can sleep on bed while I and Kiwi would use that extra bed..."

"Nahh, you two sleep on the bed,I would use this..And there are chances of Kiana getting I'll if she sleeps on the floor.." Karan retorted..

"How would she get Ill??Karan, she would be sleeping on the mattress on the floor,not on the floor..." Teju said, narrowing her eyes..

"Arey, they say na, bacho ko jaldi thand lag jati hai..and anyways,am scared what if I amy harm my princess while sleeping,so this way is better.." Karan said..

And then not pondering more over the topic, Teju just hummed and then both retired to the sleep,but nit before,Karan leaving the dim lights of the room on;while one sleeping on bed while other on the mattress on the floor..

It's wasn't much when they had fallen asleep, when Teju's sleep got broken due to the crying voice of Kiana..Even after trying to calm her down, she wasn't getting calm, worrying Teju.. And hearing, Kiana's voice, Karan's sleep too got broken and seeing her crying too much, Karan asked,

"Kya hua?? Why is she crying too much??"

"Umm, am sorry,your sleep too got broken.." Teju said..

"Nah,it's okay and anyways,currently my sleep isn't important but the thing that she is crying is important.." Karan said while turning on the lights of the room..

"I don't know...Even I got up hearing her cries...May be sensing unfamiliar surrounding,she would have got scared.." Teju said..

"I think,hume usse gallery mai le jana chahiye,may be chup ho jaye??" Karan suggested while Teju just shrugged off, indicating that let's try that too..

And then Karan asked Teju about Kiana's warm clothes and then he brought that and making, Kaian wear that, both took her in the gallery while trying to calm her down.. And eventually, she too slept, after loads of efforts and that's when both Karan and Teju, breath in relief..
