"What's with the frown, Mahal?" Yves asked when she saw how Colet's eyebrows were curled up, looking like she was ready to fight.
"Eto si mama parang ano eh," inis na sabi nito. "Nag uumpisa nanaman sa mga agenda niya," dagdag niya pa bago na-upo sa tabi ng asawa.
Yves instantly wrapped her arms around her wife as she put her chin on her shoulder.
"Wag ka bumusangot" malabing na sabi niya
Collet took a deep sigh before kissing her wife's forehead.
"Ano pala sabi ni tito?" Colet asked while caressing her wife's cheeks as they both enjoyed the calming presence of each other.
"Kasama niya daw si maeve," Yves paused and thought throughly about how she reacted to her dad's reply.
"I think I went too far as well, he said, kasi na uuwi siya." Her voice cracked alarmingly. "Pero ayun din yung sinabi ni mommy, but she never returned." Tears gathered in her eyes as the memories of her mom screaming and crying in pain flashed in her head.
"Uyab, breathe," Collet said in the calmest way possible. She didn't want to overwhelm Yves more. She gently hugged her.
"Breathe mahal, hmm? I know my words will not weigh anything, but I want you to know that Tito Midnight is very capable of protecting himself; he's been doing that for years; the only difference is he's protecting you and your sisters." She kissed her forehead before saying, "I'm not going to ask you not to worry, kasi daddy mo yun, so worry when ever you feel like he is in danger, but don't let that worry overpower your trust in him."
