"........,"

- Hah, hah, ha...

[Your Name] was panting, feeling like his lungs were on fire, the sound of his heavy breaths echoing in the eerie silence.

His legs felt like jelly after what felt like miles of running-correction, it was miles of running.

He'd been running for his life, but who's counting?

If he wasn't so out of breath, he'd be screaming at the top of his lungs.

Like, he just had the honors of laying his eyes on Dokja.

But alas, life priorities.

It's also been a while since he's run this hard, and he's pretty sure he's sweated out half his body weight.

Meanwhile, somewhere far behind, Yoo Joonghyuk was probably strangling the life out of Kim Dokja by now.

The image of the muscular, stoic regressor strangling the poor, scrawny protagonist flashed through [Your Name]'s mind.

For a second, he felt a pang of sadness.

Maybe there was a tear or two shed out of [Your Name]-maybe a couple of sobs.

But, who's to say?

Poor Kim Dokja.

May his soul rest in-wait a damn minute.

[Your Name] paused mid-thought, eyes widening as another, more ridiculous possibility strikes him.

"But... what if he's into that?"

What if Kim Dokja likes being choked?

A moment of silence.

[Your Name] blinks as the thought lodges itself in his brain like a stray bullet.

Kim Dokja, with his endless supply of weird tendencies, might actually have a thing for being choked by a cold, emotionless, sword-wielding maniac.

[Your Name] felt a shudder run down his spine that's part horror, part... morbid curiosity?

Nah, let's not go there.

With a resigned sigh, he started walking, no longer in a rush.

If Kim Dokja really was into that kind of thing, Yoo Joonghyuk was probably doing him a favor right now.

Straightening up, he took a moment to gather his thoughts, trying to piece together what just happened.

"Okay, let's see..."

[Your Name] started counting on his fingers, as if that will somehow help him make sense of the madness.

"There was the zombie apocalypse, Yoo Joonghyuk looking extra pissed, me almost dying-again-and... wait, wasn't I supposed to follow them?"

Lost in thought, he continued walking, no longer in a hurry but definitely not slowing down, because somewhere in the distance, trouble was brewing.

And if there was one thing he was sure of, it was that trouble had a nasty habit of finding him.
