𝟶𝟶𝟶. With a quick, surreptitious gaze downward on Osha, Osha made her move, wrapping the gloomy veil she bought just now. The repercussions
of her actions played out before her, as her eyes flitted around, trying to stay alert.

Master Sol's eyes followed Osha until his attention was abruptly captured by another. It was like his eyes had a mind of their own; he continued to stare at Kaye.

The gravity of the situation was visible, yet his discerning eye still managed to capture the slightest changes in her face. He noted the slight shift in her expression.

With a blank stare, her expression devoid of emotion, it was as if she
was trying to prevent any trace of
her inner thoughts from seeping onto
her face. It was a mask she wore with ease. It was that deadpan again before Master Torbin's death.

She was thinking silently.

“What are you thinking, Kaye?” Master Sol asked lowly, leaning in closer into her ear so that only she could hear his words.

As their eyes met, she gave him a slight smile, her lips curling upward just ever so slightly. However, her smile wasn't warm or welcoming; instead, there was a subtle sense of derision in her expression.

“Nothing.” Kaye muttered, shaking her head ever so slightly, as if to dismiss his advances.

Even though there was an unsettled, light tension between them, they both remained steadfastly focused on their respective tasks, gazing back down at Osha who entered the shop.

Hello? Osha spoke softly, her voice emitted from the small holorecorder in Jecki's hand. All of them laid their ears out, silently observing everything that was happening, waiting for a cue to move.

Oh. Hello. The unshaven man finally spoke, making them all seemed to be on the edge of the floor, eager to see what was going to happen next.

Except Kaye. As the sound of his soft voice flowed from the holorecorder, she couldn't help but feel a slight tug at the corners of her mouth. It was like a tiny smile of admission, a hint of recognition that the voice behind the words was one that she was all too familiar with.

The slight twitch of her lips was immediately met with a hard frown, almost as if she was trying to suppress her own thoughts. She knew that the sound of her inner thought would be heard by someone. She has to keep the silence that she has worked so hard to maintain.
