Location: Private Hospital Room, Late Evening

Y/N slowly regained consciousness, the world around her coming into focus through a haze of pain and exhaustion. The sterile scent of antiseptic filled her nostrils, and the steady beeping of a heart monitor echoed in the quiet room. Blinking against the harsh fluorescent lights, she took in her surroundings—a private hospital room, with soft white sheets covering her and various medical equipment around her bed. Her body ached, a dull, persistent pain radiating from her side where she had been shot. The memory of the bullet, the chaos, and the fear came flooding back all at once.

As she turned her head slightly, she saw him. Jungkook was sitting beside her, his posture tense, his hands clenched together as he leaned forward in the chair. Dark circles shadowed his eyes, evidence of sleepless nights, and his usually composed expression was replaced with one of deep worry and guilt. He looked up when he noticed her stirring, his eyes widening with relief.

"Y/N..." Jungkook's voice was hoarse, a mix of emotions barely contained. He immediately reached for her hand, grasping it tightly as if afraid she might slip away again. "You're awake... thank God."

Y/N managed a weak smile, though it was laced with pain. "Hey," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "You look like you haven't slept in days."

Jungkook let out a shaky breath, his grip on her hand tightening. "I haven't. Not since you..." He trailed off, unable to finish the sentence, his gaze dropping to the floor. "You shouldn't have done that. You shouldn't have taken that bullet for me."

Y/N's heart ached at the raw vulnerability in his voice. She had never seen Jungkook like this—so open, so unguarded. It was as if the walls he had carefully built around himself had crumbled in the face of his fear of losing her. "I couldn't let anything happen to you, Jungkook. I didn't even think, I just... reacted."

His jaw clenched, and he shook his head, as if trying to shake off the guilt that weighed heavily on him. "I should have protected you. This is my fault. If I had been more careful—"

"Stop," Y/N interrupted gently, squeezing his hand. "This isn't your fault. You couldn't have known what would happen. We were both in danger, and I made a choice. I'd do it again if it meant keeping you safe."

Jungkook's eyes met hers, and for a moment, the intensity of his emotions was overwhelming. "You can't keep putting yourself in danger for me, Y/N. I can't lose you."

Y/N's heart skipped a beat at the raw emotion in his voice. "You won't lose me," she whispered, her voice filled with determination. "I'm not going anywhere."

Jungkook leaned in closer, his forehead resting against hers. "I don't deserve you," he murmured, his voice cracking. "Not after everything I've put you through."

Y/N closed her eyes, letting the warmth of his touch and the sincerity in his words wash over her. "We've both made sacrifices, Jungkook. But we're in this together. No matter what."

They stayed like that for a long moment, the silence between them filled with unspoken words and emotions too complex to untangle. For the first time in a long while, Y/N felt a sense of peace, despite the pain in her body and the uncertainty of their future and her mission.

Location: Private Hospital Room, Next Morning

The next morning, Y/N was feeling stronger, though the pain still lingered. Jungkook remained by her side, refusing to leave the room even when the doctors insisted he get some rest. As she sipped on a glass of water, trying to ease the dryness in her throat, the door to the room opened, and Taehyung walked in.

Dressed in a sharp black suit, his expression was unreadable, but his eyes held a certain intensity that made Y/N uneasy. Jungkook straightened up when he saw his brother, his demeanor shifting back to the guarded and calculating man Y/N had come to know.
