CHAPTER 17 : PARTY TIME

I was sat on the couch while Jason and Uncle Holland were out. It was only me, Ivan and Dad in the house. Ivan was blasting musical songs upstairs and dad was in his room watching a film. I however was sat eating a biscuit watching old videos of me and Robby when we were pretty much best friends.

If you were to ask me what I was most excited about while I was moving. It was that I'd get to hopefully take someone to prom. Now, I am dreading that day. I have nothing for the prom. No date and no mom to help pick out a dress. Dad suggested wearing one of mom's old dresses but I refused. I don't think I'm gonna go the prom.

"Hey Holly," Ivan said coming downstairs. "I thought you were getting a prom dress."

"I'm not going prom." I told him getting off the couch and walking towards him.

"What?" He asked. "Why!?"

"I've not been asked." I responded. "I was going with Rae as friends but Jason asked her and now they're going as a couple. Miguel and Sam are going together and Robby got expelled."

"Well, lucky for you." He said coming closer to me. "You have a best friend from Australia who is willing to go as friends."

"Are you asking me out Ivan Sharma?" I questioned smiling.

"Eh, you could call it that." He finally said. "So, will you go prom with me?"

"Why not." I laughed hugging Ivan. He hugged me back. It almost felt like we were back in Australia. Like we were those kids again who ran around free instead of being in some karate war. It almost felt like I had my life together. Like mom was still here and Robby didn't join Cobra Kai or Uncle Holland had is band still. It almost felt like home.

"You won't regret this Holly March." He said running back upstairs probably to text Jason. I walked to my dad's room and opened the door.

"Have you got any of mom's old dresses?" I asked him.

"Your gonna go?" He questioned while I nodded. "You're not kidding?"

"Of course I'm not kidding!" I laughed. "Ivan asked me!"

"As friends right?" He raised a brow.

"Yeah, as friends don't worry!"

"Good, good." He said opening the closet door. "Here I have the dress your mother wore to her prom. Holland gave it me." It was a long pink dress with sparkles. I could imagine my mother in it.

"Oh my gosh!" I screamed. "Thank you so much Dad!"

"No problem sweetheart." He said kissing my forehead. "I'm just glad you're not skipping prom."

"I am too."

We had to end up going to the LaRusso's before the prom as Johnny had to get pictures with Sam's family and mine.

"Okay Lawrence's let's get your photo." Sensei LaRusso's cousin said as Rae and Johnny got a photo of the two of them.

"You look nice Rae." I said.

"Why thank you Mrs Sharma!" She joked.

"We're just friends." I commented.

"Man, you just got friend-zoned by my sister!" Jason teased.

"Right, let's have the March's, Holland and Ivan." The photographer said as we all squeezed into a photo.

"Andrew how do you have so many people in your house?" Amanda LaRusso asked jokingly.
