The atmosphere in Felix's mansion was heavy with tension. Clara stood by the large windows in the study, gazing out at the sprawling gardens. Her mind raced, replaying the events of the last few days. She had never imagined that falling in love with someone could lead to this—a situation so dangerous, so impossible, that it felt like a nightmare she couldn't wake up from.

Felix's footsteps echoed behind her, his presence a mix of comfort and foreboding. She could feel the weight of his gaze on her, but she couldn't bring herself to meet his eyes. How could she, when everything around them was crumbling?

"I spoke with your father," Felix said, his voice low and measured. There was an edge to his tone, a warning of what was to come.

Clara stiffened. Her father—the powerful and ruthless head of the Park Mafia—had discovered the truth about her relationship with Felix. And he was furious. She could still hear the anger in his voice from their last phone call, his threats reverberating in her mind.

"What did he say?" Clara asked, her voice barely above a whisper. She already knew the answer, but hearing it from Felix made it all the more real.

"He declared war, Clara," Felix replied, his words heavy with finality. "He gave me an ultimatum—leave you and return you to him, or face the consequences."

Clara turned to face him, her heart pounding in her chest. The man standing before her was both her lover and her captor, a contradiction that had become all too familiar. Felix looked as composed as ever, but she could see the strain in his eyes, the weight of the decision that now rested on his shoulders.

"And what did you say?" she asked, dreading the answer.

Felix's jaw tightened. "I told him that you're staying with me. That I won't give you up."

The words hung in the air, heavy and dangerous. Clara's breath caught in her throat. She knew what this meant—her father would not back down. He would come after Felix with everything he had, and the bloodshed that would follow would be unimaginable.

"You're risking everything, Felix," Clara said, her voice trembling. "Your empire, your men—everything you've built could be destroyed."

"I know," Felix replied, his eyes dark and unwavering. "But I've made my choice, Clara. I won't let him take you from me."

Clara felt a surge of emotions—fear, guilt, and something deeper, something that she had been trying to ignore for days. Love. She loved Felix, despite everything. Despite the fact that he was her family's sworn enemy, despite the violence and blood that surrounded him, despite the danger that loomed over them both. She loved him, and that love was tearing her apart.

"What about my family?" Clara asked, her voice barely audible. "What about my father?"

Felix hesitated, his expression softening as he looked at her. He knew what she was asking—could he spare her father? Could he find a way to avoid the inevitable bloodshed?

"I can't promise anything, Clara," Felix said, his voice gentle but firm. "Your father... he's not the kind of man who will walk away from this. He's already sent men after us. I've had to double the security around the mansion."

Clara's heart sank. She knew her father too well. He was ruthless, a man who would stop at nothing to protect his pride and his power. And now, in his eyes, Clara had betrayed him. She had chosen Felix over her own family, and that was something her father would never forgive.

"Felix, if this war happens... people will die," Clara said, her voice thick with emotion. "My family, your men—innocent people will get caught in the crossfire."
