A Team consisting of Robin, Rocket, Batgirl, Impulse, Bumblebee, Beast Boy, Wonder Girl and Batgirl, had been sent out to a Scarb temple to free Blue from the Reach's control. A plan that the Team had been working on for months ever since learning the possibility of Blue's possible loss of control to the Reach. A sigh of relief left Amber as she stood by Nightwing in front of the holoscreen with Batgirl and the others on the line, as Batgirl relayed the success of their mission.

"Great news, Team. Nightwing out." The holoscreen then blinked off just as the door hatch for below level ground opened revealing M'gann, and La'gaan.

"What's great news?" M'gann asked.

"They did it" Amber replied with a small trace of a smile on her face as she breathed out in relief.

Nightwing nodded, "The Team freed Blue Beetle and Green Beetle from Reach control."

La'gaan then called out as he climbed the stairs, "Terrific. You need me, I'm watching TV."

Nightwing then turned his attention back to the screen as Amber followed along the two sharing ideas for what's next.

A small voice then called out, "Um, is Connor around?" The two halted their conversations as Amber peeked a glance at M'gann with a raised eyebrow.

"Last I heard he had some sort of date with a girl named Wendy Harris." Amber noticed the shift in M'ganns face. It was a look of disappointment and sadness.

"Oh, right." Was all the reply Amber got from M'gann before she returned to her conversation with Nightwing.

M'gann then left, leaving the two to their business.

Noticing the two were now alone Amber stared at the holoscreen as she said, "20 bucks says that M'gann and Connor get back together."

Nightwings movements halted as he spared Amber a look of surprise. He then smiled and turned his attention back to the screen, "You're on."

.....A Few hours later that night

Dick and Amber were sitting at a table at a nearby diner getting a very late dinner. Both were dressed in civvies.

The two waited as the waitress placed all of their food down on the table before the waitress left. The two dug in as they ate quietly. The silence followed but was eventually broken by Amber.

"Do you remember our first outing together with everyone?" Amber asked.

Dick looked up from his food in wonder at the sudden question, "Of course, it was where we met Connor."

Amber hummed in thought as she became lost in thought. Dick looked at Amber smiling as he said, "It was also the first time Wally, Kaldur, and I first got to work with you."

Amber's attention was brought back as she left out a small chuckle, her fork hovering her plate of food as she thought back to then. "Yes, it was a first for me working with others much closer to my age. My old Team were all much older than I was." A fond smile appeared on Amber's face as she thought back to those times the Avenger's accomplished so much and when they were still alive. Amber then shook her head of such thoughts. "I remember that it was a bit of a chaotic mess that we certainly did not know we were getting ourselves into."

A laugh left Dick as he agreed, "Yeah, I certainly don't think any of us expected it to turn into this."

Amber smiled as she looked out the window of the diner and onto the streets where a few people were walking, couple's holding hands, a family with their three children passing by. "Do you ever miss those times when it was just us." Amber suddenly asked.
