[Star Wars] Book of Boba Fett Rewrite

Showdown

A thirteen-year-old Boba Fett wearing his newly reforged mandalorian armor runs into a large industrial complex with wreckage lying around and shouts out, "Bane!"

Fett then spots Cad Bane lounging casually in a command center as he wheezes out, "I wouldn't be so hasty now, boy-"

Boba looks over at his side as C-21 Highsinger walks into view, carrying local prospector Stim and small ssori bounty hunter Seripas in each of his mechanical hands threateningly while Bane's techno-service droid, Todo 360 hovers close by-

"Let them go Bane-" Boba says through his modulated helmet, "This isn't their fight anymore!"

"Always fighting for those in need..." Cad smirks smugly as he gets up and gets off the command center, "That's a quick way to end up poor or dead and probably both."

Boba and Bane begin to walk in circles around each other until Fett points at Cad and demands, "No more innocent people are going to die or be locked up or live in fear-"

Cad scoffs at the teenage bounty hunter, "Oh, so you think digging up and reforging your father's armor makes you the better man? You're an even bigger fool than I thought-"

Fett and Bane continue to glare at each other until a growl pulls Boba's attention away as from behind him, Embo and his pet anooba, Marrok enter, the former throwing down Dengar's rifle while the latter spits out Sugi's knife and a moment later Bossk arrives, dropping Razzi's grappling boa to the ground-

Boba watches as Embo and Bossk aim their rifles at him while Bane twiddles with his fingers and jeers, "Looks like your little insurrection has failed..."

Cad then walks up to across from Boba before stopping, "Now surrender... and I'll let your friends walk away..."

Boba turns over to look at Bossk and the two exchange glances before the trandoshan bounty hunter turns to Embo and gruffly hisses out, "I say... we give the kid his shot..."

Embo nods before refolding his bowcaster down and looks over at Fett with determination-

Boba then turns to face Cad who expresses his shock for a moment before he grumbles, "So that's it... Just you and me now...Boba Fett."

Cad takes a few steps forward and Boba does the same, lightly grabbing at his hoisters before he replies, "I guess it is..."

Everyone in the complex watches in anticipation as Cad Bane and Boba Fett face off, both staring at the other while slowly moving their hands to their hoisters...

Cad then manages to raise one hand first, firing out a shot and Boba fires with both his father's blaster pistols, causing both bounty hunters to be shot and fall back to the ground-

Everyone watches in amazement as Boba's helmet flies off his head with a new burning dent on its head while Bane lies on the ground unmoving...

Todo 360 flies over to Bane's body as Highsinger drops Stim and Seripas while Bossk and Embo rush over to Boba's side as he slowly gets up before grabbing his helmet and puts it back on-

Boba looks over at Cad's motionless form before glancing at Stim and murmurs to the rest of the bounty hunters, "C'mon- we still have a job to do- let's get the others and finish this-"

As Fett picks up Latt's grappling boa and Dengar's rifle before muttering to Bossk, "And Aurra?"

Bossk picks up Sugi's knife before hissing, "She left...again."

Boba looks down for a moment before he turns to Embo, Highsinger, Seripas and Stim and nudges his helmet and they all follow behind him-

Before they leave the complex, Embo says something in his native kyuzo language which Fett responds to by turning around briefly to reply,
"Him-? Forget Bane... he's done... leave him there to rot..."
