PRESENT TIME

SHINSO'S P.O.V: I get a ride to Mirko's agency after New Year's. Y/N isn't here yet, I wait, standing up, but sit after a while. I wonder if I should text her, but the door opens. She's wearing a big coat and a scarf, but she has an odd look on her face.

SHINSO: Happy New Year's.

Y/N: (Getting rid of the odd look on her face) Shinso! Happy New Year's, you too, Asuka! (Back to SHINSO) You ended up going to the party, right?!

Nevermind. She hasn't changed at all.

SHINSO: I did. It was fine.

Y/N: (Hitting him playfully) I know you had fun, Mina told me you even laughed a little!!

SHINSO: (Confused) You know I can laugh, right? You're just not that funny.

Y/N: (Laughing it off) You're just not up to my level. Did you train with Aizawa this morning?

SHINSO: (Holding his scarf) Yeah.

The receptionist sends us into Mirko's training room again. We look around, but she's not there.

All of a sudden, Y/N jumps in to cover me, and I drop to the floor. Mirko tried to kick me from the side. Low. I look to the side as Y/N gets off of me. I stand up.

MIRKO: You've gotten slower, Shinso!!

SHINSO: My bad. I didn't expect it.

MIRKO: You'll be doing the test again. You have an hour. I expect your time to be amazingly better than last time.

She jumps into the 10th level again. The timer starts. I grab Y/N's wrists before she touches me.

SHINSO: I don't need it.

Y/N: (Smirks) Alright! Let's go!!

We skip level one, I use my binding cloth to climb quickly, Y/N jumps to the top. We go past level two just as fast. Level three is our challenge. The enemies are the same, but two more join them. Y/N has this determined look on her face. I throw my cloth towards an enemy and trap him, I throw him over the edge while Y/N grabs flying girl first, she grabs her insanely quickly and makes her fall asleep, then throws her away. Broom girl goes against me, the teleport guy stands behind me, he reaches for me.

SHINSO: (Grabbing him) You're not talking this time, huh? (After he teleports again, grabbing the broom girl) Teleporting is a great quirk. You get a bit motion sick, though.

I step on broom girl's back and throw her off. Teleport guy stands in front of me and pushes me, I slip off the platform, but I get brought back up by water. I stand up, wet. I look at an enemy, he's holding his hand out, Y/N's on the ground. Possession. She uses his quirk to throw teleport guy off, but he just teleports and grabs her body and throws it away, before she can use the water again, he throws his friend off the platform, too.

I catch them with my binding cloth, Y/N smacks herself and I lose the other guy, she climbs up the cloth like it's a rope.

SHINSO: (Looking back) You throwing up, man?

TELEPORT GUY: (Barfing) Don't look-

BOX BOY: God, dammit, Tory, seriously!!

I use him to teleport the box guy out. Y/N reaches the platform again and stands with me.

Y/N: Don't forget about the invisible man.

She runs for the Poison girl and dodges her leaves, she grabs her and kicks her out. I look around for the Invisible guy as I use Teleport boy to throw other people out. A force pushes me off. I use the Teleport boy to grab me and bring me back, he starts vomiting again, useless. I throw him off the platform. Y/N throws a new girl towards the invisible guy, she falls on top of him and kicks them both off.
