The morning sunlight seeps through, directly blinding my eyes. I groan and turn over to try and shield away from the sun, only to be further woken up by my damned alarm. I grab the beaten up phone and throw it away to break it finally. I hear the impact as the alarm dies off suddenly and hear the glass breaking. I smile, finally getting to go back to sweet dreamland...

When the door busts open.

"Oh no! Solar! Get your ass up! You are not about to miss breakfast again young lady!" Aunt Bonnie yells as she repeatedly knock on my door and twist the door knob. I groan and throw the blanket off my bed. "Food is ready, make sure you're downstairs in 10!" She yelled and closed the door. I closed my eyes for a couple of seconds, before feeling around my bed for my actual phone, no, not the one that I just threw. I checked the time.

"It's just nearing 8.. why so early.." I said taking my phone out of charge. I roll off my bed, only to fall a higher distance than I remember, and my fall being saved by another mattress, still hit it pretty hard.

"Can you stop rolling off your bed? This is the hundredth time this month alone!" Kallias, the oldest of the kids, rommie number 1. He would constantly break my fall by pulling out the pull out mattress from his bed a minute before I roll over every morning. I know I annoy him, it's why I like doing it.

"When I give enough shits to wake up in the morning, I will." I said and I heard him let out an exasperated 'ugh' and left the room. I got pulled up by another set of arms, ah Kouki.

"Kal is right, you might also break your nose cause you keep on falling face first." He said with a slight chuckle, younger than Kallias by 2 and a half months, they're Irish twins, but they aren't your typical twins at all. He carried me on his back.

"You gotta wake up, or else the kids will force you to wake up." He said going out of the room with me.

"Fine fine, they're more annoying than Tita." I said and he laughed, I got off his back as we got down the stairs, and the kids are up, bright and early.

"Ate Sol!!!" Sirelle exclaims in excitement, running up to me and hugging me. I laugh and hug her back.

"Morning, what's for brekkie?" I ask, and she gave me my matching scrunchie for the day.

"Bacon and eggs!! With some really stinky fish!" She said, and I giggle, putting my hair up.

"Ate Sol Ate Sol!! Let's play pirates later!!" Lysander exclaim, ready with his pirate sword.

"No!! She promised me yesterday she's gonna play tea party with me and Sirelle!!" Aeri said as she grabs the sword away from Lysander, to which he starts tearing up. A life with a family of 7 is chaotic, 8 if you count me in. I shake my head and took the pirate sword from Aeri, giving it back to Lysander.

"It's true, I promised I'd play tea party with the girls, but there's no shame in joining us for the day, and tomorrow we'll go out to play pirates!" Luckily, I'm good at compromising.

"Do you promise?" Lysander asks with a shaky voice and glossy eyes. I smile and held my pinky up, intertwining it with his pinky and forming a heart.

"I promise." I said and his face lights up, he wipes the tears away from his eyes as Uncle Marcelo calls us. We all gathered around the table and prayed before eating the food.

"Solar, you're graduating soon." Uncle Marcelo starts, and I hum. "Any updates on the university?"

"Well, I didn't get the scholarship unfortunately, but I did get accepted so. I got the email yesterday but forgot to tell you guys about it." I said before taking some more eggs and bacon, and putting them in my toast.

"Ah. 'Susmaryosep ka Solar." Aunt Bonnie said, her tagalog accent coming out, making me giggle. She ran away and lived in the Philippines for almost two decades before coming back here for her kids to have a better education system, she got married in the Philippines. "You need to tell us! Congratulations on getting accepted however, we'll take care of the tuition fees for you, no problem. What about housing?" She ask, and I hum.

"I signed up for a dorm in campus, I got the most expensive option though, one where it has my own washing machine and kitchen and a mini fridge." I said, mouth slightly full, earning a slight scolding from Kallias, and I bow in sorry.

"How much?"

"Almost £300 per week."

"..Okay. Well! You've got the whole summer to prepare! Let's make the most of our last summer together before all of our older kids leave yeah?" Uncle Marcelo said with teary eyes. I slightly laugh, he can be quite emotional when it comes to us. We all finsih our breakfast and went to get ready, fighting over 1 bathroom, I luckily got in first.

You might be wondering, why are we so cramped in a tiny home when we don't have to worry about money too much? Here's the thing, why get a big house when you can get a smaller house for less money? There's also something about coming home to a messy and cramped house, overwhelming at first, but you grow to love it. At least I do.

I finished getting ready first, and grab my skateboard. I said goodbye to my uncle and aunt, goodbye to the kids and shouted my goodbye at my older cousins. I played 'Nobody's Soldier' by Hozier and skated to my sixth form.

"Solar!!!" My friend, Ellie yelled excitedly upon seeing me. I moved to the side to dodge her hug. She's a big hugger, I don't let friends hug me.

"It's our last week of college together!! I'm gonna miss you guys!!" She said, slightly crying, hugging the rest of our group.

"Pfft you and I are going to the same Uni." Cole said with a slight chuckle.

"I hope we can catch up through calls though, I'm gonna go overseas!!" Aria said, excitedly throwing her arms up and they enthusiastically cheered for her while I just clapped.

"Congrats Yale student!! Joshua is going to Glasgow too to study!!" Ellie said and he scoffs, leaning on the light pole.

"I'm just going back to my hometown basically! But Solar here is going to London!" Joshua said and I roll my eyes.

"Outside of London. Still near." I said shrugging.

"Well either way, good luck to us all!!" Ellie said and we all cheered, bumping elbows in the middle. She suddenly took out her digital camera, and immediately huddled together, I got in close but still kept my distance.

"Smile!!!" Ellie exclaims, as we take pictures in front of our sixth form. I only smiled half heartedly, while they all had big smiles.

"By the way where's Ajax?" Aria ask, ah, my boyfriend..

"He said he's gonna be late so.." I said shrugging. "I'll check up on him after work." I said with a nod.

"Okay, what time is- IT'S ALMOST 9 WE GOTTA GO!!!!" And with that we hurriedly ran inside our college to catch our classes, saying goodbye to each other as we all split ways.

Well, I am going to miss my friends. They actually made me feel like I fit in, finally.
