Summer passed by rather slowly this year, but alas, I'm finally ready for University. I got my stuff loaded in Kou's car, and got my motorcycle ready.
"You keep yourself safe there okay???" Bonnie said as she pats my arm. "And don't forget to visit us!"
"Of course tita! I would never!!" I said and hug her.
"Update us on everything okay? Send as much pictures as you can, and video calls!" Marcelo said as I hug him too. The younger ones were crying.
"Ate please don't go!!" Lysander cries, hugging my legs.
"If we hug her she wouldn't be able to leave!!" Selline chimes and the girls hug me as I laugh and Bonnie and Marcelo pulled them off.
"I'm sorry kiddos, but your ate has to go. She's gonna stay over for Christmas anyways! Aren't you?" Marcelo ask and I nod. I kneeled down and hug the three.
"And by then we'll play lots. I'll make sure to come home with no distractions." I said with a smile.
"Make sure you won't come home with a boy. Anytime you're visiting home!" Bonnie exclaim and I laugh and pull away. I gave them my final hug and rode off, following Kou and Kal. I have an intercom in my helmet to keep myself entertained with Kou and Kal's daily arguments.
"Chérine, can you hear us?" Kallias suddenly ask as we were at a stop light.
"Yes, I can." I answered, waiting for the lights to go green once more.
"If you get into any trouble with anyone, and I mean anybody at all. Make sure to tell us okay?" Kallias said, and I hum in reply.
"Or any trouble in your studies, I took medicine too, so if you need notes, I have mine stored." Kouki said with an excited tone, their looks would deceive them. Kallias looks like the type to have his nose in the books, while Kouki seems like the type to get into fights with their build. It's the opposite, Kouki had his nose in the books and would always get top grades, hell he was the top 1 of his university before and is still working in a successful medicine related career, and Kallias is a professional kickboxer, how did his career started? Underground boxing, until they got caught but he got scouted and trained, now he fights for a living.
"Don't worry, I got these in the bag. I will never forget the gruesome training I had with you Kallias." I said, reminiscing the times I would stumble into our room in pain and agony while he drags me back out to continue training for another half an hour. "I also wouldn't forget those late night study sessions Kouki." He was a strict teacher, I learned how to control my emotions because of how scary he was, as well as learned techniques that helped me be a quick learner. Though also gruesome.
I've been taught in gruesome ways, physically, and mentally.
The light turned green and we continue to ride, jamming onto songs we like, and after an hour or so, we arrived at my university. Filled with people moving into their dorms and accommodations, people moving in different dorms after last year, and people just hanging out. I knew no one here. For some reason I keep looking around to see if I would be able to recognise familiar faces, but nothing.
"Alright, should we ask where your dorm is?" Kallias asked, looking around. I shake my head 'no'.
"I've got it in an email, and it should be.. (accommodation name) building, which I assume is right over there." I said and point to the building. We went over, and thank goodness there's parking. We parked our vehicles and began moving things inside.
After a while of moving things in and out, all of my stuff are in.
"Christ, okay, we'll help you rearrange your dorm-" "No needed." I cut off Kouki, and they both turn to me. "I want to rearrange my own room, and it'll be too late if you two go home right after, I can handle this okay?" I said, taking my jacket off.
"Are you-" "I'm sure, please go." I said and atart unloading the boxes. I felt two pairs of arms hug me.
"We'll miss you roomie." Kallias said softly. I wanted to cry, but I can't. I came with them outside, and that's when I realise they're taking my motorcycle as well. I was pissed at that but they still took it, I guess I'm getting my steps up. I decided to do what people do, roam around the campus.. at 3 in the morning.
I thought this would be the perfect time to go around and see the campus for myself, there isn't much people out, it's quiet, and I can admire the moon and stars. That's why I chose a dual course, of Medicine, and Astrophysics. I saw the Co-op was opened 24/7, so I went in and bought some drinks, paid, and as I went out, I bump into someone.
"Agh- Sorry." I said, quickly catching the drink I bought before it fell and hit the ground.
"Sorry." The guy just muttered as he went inside. I look behind, oversized jacket, must be about 6'4? Slicked back messy hair in a low ponytail, and pretty tanned, and he seems to have a good build. From his form, I'd figure he's an athlete, might be a scholar as well, might be a bit of a jackass. I scoff, and went back to walking, looking at the buildings and what not. I'm lucky enough to not need a job to pay for my bills, because my aunt and uncle has got that covered, thankfully. I saw a spot in the field, and just laid down, admiring the beauty of the moon, the way it shines so brightly.
"Your surface is so damaged, the impact craters are seen even from millions of miles away, yet you still manage to shine so beautifully, tell me, Luna, what's your secret? So I can glow like you do." I mutter to myself, I sigh and sat up. "I'm talking to myself again." I raised my drink in the air, as a form of a toast.
"To the new chapter of adulthood. The new chapter of independence... I hate it already."
