A/N: Just read it, it's good I promise you.

The cafeteria is noisy as usual, but today feels different. Blaine isn't at our table. Instead, he's over at a table with Leo and some chess club friends, his back turned to us. Seeing him like this is a painful reminder of how things are falling apart.

I sit down with Ryan, Tom, Jason, and Ethan. The tension is thick, hanging over us like a storm cloud. Brett is here too, but he's unusually quiet, just pushing his food around. No one's saying much; the weight of yesterday's events is still heavy. It feels like there's a growing distance between us all.

Jake and his friends are huddled at their table, whispering and laughing with these smug looks on their faces. They keep glancing over at us, and I can sense something's coming.

Jake suddenly stands up, and his chair scrapes loudly against the floor. The noise cuts through the cafeteria, and everyone turns to look. He's got that look that says he's about to stir up trouble and is enjoying it. He starts walking toward us, and the cafeteria gets quieter, everyone watching.

"What's he up to now?" Ryan mutters, eyeing Jake warily.

"Probably just trying to start trouble," Jason says with a hint of irritation.

Jake stops right in front of our table, grinning as he looks at me, Brett, and the rest of us.

"Looks like Blaine's not sitting with you guys anymore," he says, clearly enjoying the moment.

"We don't have time for your bullshit, Jake, leave." Brett says seething.

Jake's grin widens, making Brett's jaw tighten.

"Too bad. He could've had a front-row seat," Jake says, and the way he says it makes me uneasy.

"Hey, everyone!" Jake calls out, his voice cutting through the room. The cafeteria goes silent, all eyes on us. My heart starts racing, and I feel a knot of dread in my stomach.

"I heard something really interesting from someone," Jake says, his tone dripping with sarcasm. He pauses for effect, letting the tension build. I'm trying to figure out what he's about to say, but I'm coming up short. Brett is glaring at him.

Jake turns slightly and calls out a name.

"David!" he says.

Everyone in our table is confused, even I, am confused but I have a really bad feeling about this. David, a quiet guy from our year, looks like he'd rather disappear. He's clearly uncomfortable, glancing around as if looking for an escape.

Jason leans in, his voice low and tense.

"What the hell are you planning, Jake?"

Jake just grins, ignoring Jason's question and motions for David to come over. David reluctantly stands and walks toward us, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else. Jake practically drags him to our table, and the whole cafeteria is watching intently.

Jake turns to the room, his grin widening.

"Looks like our star quarterback's found himself in a bit of a love triangle," he announces, his voice full of glee. The words hang in the air, and I feel a chill run through me.

A collective gasp ripples through the cafeteria. Everyone's eyes are on our table, and I know this is going to change everything.

"Jake, I am warning you, stop spreading rumors!" Brett says, his fists clenched.

Jake doesn't miss a beat. His eyes sparkle as he turns to David.

"Tell them what you heard, David. Go on."
