Alexios Pov:

I got out of bed. I quickly walked over to my soon to be wife, but I was careful not to trip on things. Since I just woke up. "Keep breathing, love." I said to her as I got on my knee. I watched her take deep breaths. "You ok. I'm here now." I said. She grabbed my hand and held it. I rest my other hand on hers. "And push." A midwife said. Why didn't anyone wake me? I'll ask after. She squeezed my hand.

I think my hand might fall off because of how tight she is holding it. Rhaenyra started to push. "And again." The midwife said. I'm glad it not me pregnant. Well, I can't get pregnant, but I'm happy none or less. "I can't." Rhaenyra said. "Yes, you can love. I know you can. So push." I said to her. She started to push again. While she was pushing her grip on my hand, tighten. Either it is going to be broken or very bruised. "The head!" I would look, but I might pass out.

I might pass out anyway because of how hard she is holding my hand. "Honey, can you loosen your grip in my hand?" I wish I didn't say that because she looked at me like I was crazy. "No, I won't loos-" she cut herself off when she groaned in pain. Her grip in my hand tightened more. Save me.

I just sat down in a chair. She still had my hand. I see a bruise forming on my hand. They told her to push. When she pushes again. Her grip on my hand tightened more. I'm surprised her cand put more grip on my hand. "Are you ok?" I looked at the other midwife. "I'm not. My hand hurts like hell." I said to her. "You're grace, maybe you shou-" Rhaenyra cut her off with a deadly glare. "I will not." Rhaenyra said.

"Love, please." I said, but she didn't listen. "I can hold your hand as long as I want to. I'm having a kid. So deal with it." I was shocked at what she said. It's my hand, tho. I was about to talk, but I ended up passing out. I ended up on the floor. Rhaenyra still had my hand.

A couple of hours later.

I open my eyes. I rolled onto my back. I looked at my hand. I see a very ugly bruise. I got up off the floor. "Alexios, are you ok?" I turn to rhaenyra. "Maybe. I don't know." I sat back down in the same chair. "You have a bruise on your head." A midwife said to me. "It was probably when you fell. But it will heal just like the one on your hand." She said. I looked at the baby in rhaenyra arm and smiled. She passed him to me. I grab him carefully and held him. I gave him a smile.

Someone entered the room. I held the baby with one arm and put the other on my sword. I looked over at the door. "Princess. The queen has requested that the child be brought to her. Immediately." She said. Rhaenyra grabbed her son from me. I don't trust alicent. I never did. "Why?" Rhaenyra asked. I leaned back in my chair. "Rhaenyra just had her child. I think as the baby parents, we get to spend time with him. She can wai-" I stopped talking when rhaenyra got up. I got up. "You should remain in bed, princess." The midwife said to rhaenyra.

"Yes, I should! Help me get dressed." Rhaenyra said. "Don't take it out on-" I stopped talking after rhaenyra glared at me. I moved away to get out there way. I watched them help rhaenyra get dressed. A midwife passed me the baby. I held the baby. The baby started to make noise. "Shh, little one. You're safe and happy. There's no need to cry." I said as i gave him a smile. I didn't notice rhaenyra looking at me with a smile.

Rhaenyra groan in pain. "Princess?" A midwife asked. "It's coming." Dear lord. "The afterbirth!" I quickly turned around. I didn't want to see it, but I heard it. It eventually passed. I see Laenor enter. "Oh, what happened to your face?" He asked me. "I passed out and fell on the floor." I also showed him my hand. "Rhaenyra?" I nodded.

"Laena was the same. It's like they have it out with my hand." I said to him. "I bet they do." He said. We both turn to rhaenyra. I passed the baby back to her. "But don't tell baela or rhaena about it." I said to him. "Maybe I will. Who knows." He said with a smirk. "Really? I'm going to tell your sister. You're being mean." The smirk on his face was gone.
