chapter 17 •

Y/Ns POV:

Me and Nick walk into the lunch room and grab our lunch. I sit next to Chris and Nick sits next to Matt. "Soo Matt, Y/N needs a ride today" Nick start's talking. Matt looks at me then Nick confused. "To where and what time?" Matt asks. "At ——— coffee shop and I need to be there at 6pm" I say. After I say that Tate walks by and waves, I have no choice to not wave back so I wave and smile. Matt and Chris look at each other confused. I look at Nick and he just blurts out, "Y/N has a date." I look at Chris who is staring at Matt. "I mean it's nothing I don't know the kid and I would feel bad if I said no." I quickly say. We all finish our food and Me and Chris head to our class, but he's awfully quiet?

CHRISs POV:

I've been wanting to ask out Y/N for a while then I find out she's going on a date tonight? I mean good for her, and I get she's really nice and didn't want to reject him but what if she ends up liking him? "Hey are you okay?" She asks me. I really don't know what to say because I can't have her find out I like her when she's about to go out with some guy. "Yeah i'm fine, just promise you'll call me if anything happens and you want to be picked up." I say in response. That sounds WAY too overprotective, but I don't really care! I just hope she doesn't like someone else. We finish class, we didn't talk that much. On our way to our  next class we pick up Matt at the class he just has previous.

                                 MATTs POV:

Honestly I was sitting through my chem class wondering who asked Y/N out but I figured out it was Tate McClaire. Total idiot but whatever. Me, Chris and Y/N are walking to our next class and Chris is real quiet for once, probably because of her date. We sit through the class, me and Y/N talked here and there but otherwise it was quiet. I feel bad for Chris but then again I told him to ask her out, and he hasn't yet. Let's pray he makes a move eventually because what the fuck!

                                   Y/Ns POV:

We get to the car, waited for Nick, and Chris forced Nick to let him sit in the back and Nick agreed. "So we need to stop by your house for clothes or are you wearing that?" Matt asks pulling out of the school parking lot. "I mean i'll make myself look neater so we can just hang at my house?"I say, Nick and Chris agreeing "That sounds good" Matt says driving to my house. We pull into the driveway and all get out of the car. We all go up to my room. I'm wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt right now so I will change into something a bit nicer. I go into the bathroom and I change into a pair of low rise jeans and a nice-ish sweater. I put on my beat Airforces, and spray some of my favorite perfume on. I put my hair in a ponytail, leaving two strands of hair in the front. I walk out and Nick hypes me up.

It's around 3:00 so we just all hang out in my room. "Hey Y/N can I watch Rupal's Drag Race on your TV?" Nick says sitting on my bed with his legs crossed. "Yeah of course!" I say sitting on the ground infront of the couch. Matt and Chris are at the opposite sides of the couch on their phones. I go on my phone and just watch TikTok.
I go on TikTok and I look in my inbox, I click on mentions and I got tagged in a few videos. Probably by fans. I find a fan edit of me and I am so honored!! "No way guys, one of your fans made an edit of me!!" I say happily. "That's cool! You should show me!" Matt says, Chris agreeing. I hold up my phone and play it so they can see. "Holy shit that's good" Chris says then goes back on his phone. "Guys I already saw it because they tagged me in it too" Nick says proudly. It's around 5:00pm now and we've all been doing our own thing. "Y/N when do you want to leave? The shop is only 10 minutes away." Matt asks. "Maybe in 40" I respond and we all get back to our stuff.

Half an hour later I get up and stretch after sitting on the hard ground for a while. "I'm ready to go whenever you're ready." I say standing toward the bed seeing what's going on in the show. "Yeah i'm ready, want us to wait here for you while you're there?" Matt asks standing. "Yeah sure-" I start to say but Chris interrupts. "Can I come too? On the car ride of course." He says looking at Matt. "Yeah sure, Nick you coming?" Matt asks. "I'm good the shows getting good right now, but good luck Y/N" Nick replies. "Okay we're out." I say walking out of my room and heading down the stairs as Matt and Chris follow. I hop in the back, as Matt and Chris sit in their regular seats. I'm nervous the whole way there. "I'm really nervous." I say as we pull in. Chris and Matt look back at me. "If you want to leave at any point just let me know." Matt says, "If you need Matt to pick you up call me, okay?" Chris says following up on Matt's statement. "Okay thank you!" I say getting out of the car.

CHRISs POV:

I watch as she walks in. "It's Tate McClaire, she will not like him I promise." Matt says. "If you say so" I say as we do our handshake and leave. We drive back to Y/Ns house and go back up to her room. "She there?" Nick asks. "I told you, you need to make a move Chris." Matt adds. I look at him and say.  "Yeah I know."
