chapter 18 •

                                   Y/Ns POV:

I walk into the coffee shop and Tate is sitting at a table. "Hey!" I say sitting down across from him. "Hi! How are you? You look nice," He says smiling. "I'm good, thank you! How are you?" I reply. "Im good, they have food in here. Do you want anything? It's on me." Tate asks. 'Hot to Go' By Chappell Roan plays, she's one of my favorite artists. "I'm probably just gonna get coffee and something small." I say then hum some of 'Hot to Go'. "Okay, you can always have me 'Hot to Go'." Tate says laughing. I just sit there thinking what the actual fuck. I get a text from Nick asking how it's going. "Give me a second i'm going to go to the restroom!" I say getting up "laughing" from his joke. I go into the restrooms and call Nick.

                                  NICKs POV:

It's been a bit so I text Y/N to see if it's going well. She reads it then a few minutes later she facetimes me. "Guys she's calling, want me to put on speaker?" I ask. Matt and Chris immediately agree. I pick up. "Girl what's up" I say laughing, I hear 'Hot to Go' playing in the background and it's me and Y/Ns song I swear. "Oh my god girl it's our song!" I say. "Yeah so about that.." She says trailing off. "So??" Matt says. "Oh hi Matt!" Y/N says. "Hey," I cut Matt off, "Girl spill" I say impatiently. "So this song came on and I started humming it, and he literally said, AND I QUOTE. "You can always have me 'Hot to Go' then literally laughs like everything's okay." She says in a very annoyed tone. Matt starts laughing "Oh god.." I say laughing my ass off, "Why the fuck would someone say that," Matt laughs.

Y/N laughs a bit and says she's going to try to last a bit longer. "Okay see you later girl!" I replied. "Yup, love yall. Wish me all the fucking luck you can give" She says fake laughing. I wish her luck and she ends the call. "See Chris I told you she won't hold out" Matt says still laughing.

                                   Y/Ns POV:

I walk back to the table. "Hey sorry about that." I sit back down. "What took you so long?" Tate asks. I can't just say I was talking shit about him? So I lie like any other person would do in this situation. "I'm on my period? Don't you know what that is? And please never question why someone takes long in the bathroom.?" I say fake laughing a bit at the end. "Oh you're on your period..?" He says slowly. "Is that a bad thing?" I ask laughing. "Well I wanted to take you back to my place after but it's fine we don't have too." He says obviously fake laughing. I mentally gasp, what the fuck i'm gonna get a coffee and leave bro. A waitress comes over. "Hey guys! what would you guys like today?" She says sweetly. "I'll have just an ice coffee with caramel please!" I say. "Just a black coffee please." Tate orders.

He keeps trying to make conversation but i'm over it already. The waitress come over and drops off the drinks. "I'm just going to ask for extra napkins at the counter." I say as I see my waitress at the counter. He looks confused a bit. "Uh yeah okay.." He responds. I get up and walk to the counter. She looks confused, "Hey miss can I help you? Is everything okay?" She asks concerned. "Yeah everything's fine, i'm just going to break it down real quick. I'm on a date with this annoying guy and I want to leave I was wondering if you can get me a to go cup of my order. He's paying so is it okay if I leave and right after I leave you give him the bill?" I explained. She nods, "Girl I got you. Don't even worry about it. I saw you get dropped off so just call your ride and let them know. I'll get the cup for you and bring it over soon. Trust me this has happened to me too." She explains in response. "Thank you, you are the sweetest." I say.

                                 CHRISs POV:

Y/N calls and I pick up immediately. "Hey is everything okay?" I ask frantically. She explains her whole little plan about leaving. "Okay i'll tell Matt real quick." I say. I explain to Matt and Nick. "Omg can I come too." Nick asks Matt. "Yeah yeah come on guys" Matt says and we all leave the house in hop in the car. "We're leaving now be ready" I say smiling.

                                  Y/Ns POV:

I go back to the table. The waitress grabs my drink and goes into the kitchen to get a to go cup. "What's she doing?" Tate asks obliviously. "I just not a fan of drinking my coffee in a mug? Are you judging me?" I say quickly. "No, no i'm not im sorry." He says. She comes back with the cup and left a note on the cup with sharpie. It says ' Hey girl here's my number —————- please text me what happens i live for hearing drama. And I think we go to the same school so we can hang sometime. - Jules X.O' I smile. "Hey I have to go to the bathroom." I say as I see the triplets pull up through the window. "Oh okay." Tate says looking at his phone. I get up and while he's not paying attention I grab my coffee. Jules waves as I pass by to the door. I wave back and I run out of the shop to the back seat of the triplets car where the door is already open."That was horrid." I say getting in the car quickly and I close the door. I begin to tell them everything while we drive back to my house.

                                JULIETs POV:

After I see the car with the girl I just helped leave. I walk over to the table her date is at and hand him the check. "I'll just wait here while you scan it" I say standing there watching him pull his wallet out. "Okay here you go thank you." He says giving me the cash with a 10$ tip. I go back to my spot behind the counter to watch and see how long it takes for this guy to figure out she left. I'm pretty sure he's in my Language Arts class but I don't pay attention in there. It takes him 25 minutes to realize she left and it was hilarious when he stormed out of the shop and drove off aggressively. Really hope she updates me.
