He responds with a perplexing grin, "What? 'What'... Hello, I'm Zafar"

"Umm..your...(coughs) future husband"

I stare at him in disbelief, my expression most likely resembling one of that bewildered cartoon character.

"Well, I guess you didn't like this name,Maybe you can call me 'My better half' in future" He adds, his grin widening to an almost absurd level.

What the hell?!

"Aww! You're such a sweetheart" A voice interjects. Sana suddenly appears, arms crossed in approval.

"You don't need to be so astonished, Shifa. He really is your future husband! You should feel lucky to have such a sweet guy,"she continues.

"So marry him" I mutter quietly, a touch of sarcasm lacing my words.

"What?" She asks

"Nothing, I have some things to take care of. You two enjoy yourselves" I hurry toward the lawn, eager to escape the whirlwind that just entered my life.

As I turn a corner, I bump into someone again,"Dekh kar chale, please"(Trans: Watch your steps, please) I snap, my patience thinning.

But the reply I receive makes me stop mid-frown.

"Dekh kar chalta toh is waqt apki engagement nahi, balki treatment ho rahi hoti," The voice responds, half-teasing, half-serious.

(Trans: If I were not here, instead of your engagement, you would be getting treatment in a hospital)

I raise my head and see exactly who I expected
