A Beautiful Night's View (part 2)

Chapter 6

Vicky and Faye leave their afternoon lectures and return to their dorms that were next door to each other. "I am so tired. Had a late night yesterday, as busy listening to bigbang songs. In need of a coffee." Faye remembers something from the trigger words of Vicky's sentence. "Oh! The umbrella." She rushes into the dorm and grabs the borrowed item leaving Vicky baffled. Faye arrives at the coffee shop and looks around in search of the guy.  "Oh no! I don't remember how he looks like." She reaches into her handbag  and grabs a tissue to clean her nose, her rhinitis had always bugged her in random situations. A guy signals his hands from afar, Faye notices him and walks up to him. Her tissue drops to the ground as the man's face becomes apparent. She gulps at the sight, experiencing the feeling of being starstruck. "AARRRRGGGHHHHH Changmin oppa!!!!!!!!" Changmin tells her to quieten down as others could hear her and this would be trouble for him. "Yeah I have this sort of affect on the ladies.." He winks at her making Faye almost faint. "I...I came to ..return the umbrella. Thank you so much! Please can I have an autograph?" Changmin gets out a pen in his fancy blazer and signs her handbag. Faye unable to control herself hugs Changmin, the kind idol puts his arms around her too. "OMG, I proper love DBSK." Changmin in a hurry begins to hesitate as he could see his manager calling him from outside the coffee place. "I love you too. I am busy but it was nice to meet you." He takes his umbrella and bows at her before leaving, she bows back at him and holds in a excited scream. As his black van leaves she runs out the coffee shop and has a huge uncontrollable smile on her face. Faye recalls the meet and greet letting out a small, girly scream and continues walking with a dreamlike mind.  

Over at Shinee's house Jonghyun sneaks towards the door and is stopped by a finger tapping his shoulder. "Where are you going, all secretive and hooded up like that? We have a show to film in a few hours." Jinki hyung I am...just going to take some fresh air, around town. I will be back on time." Onew raises an eyebrow at him in suspicion. "Your sweating a lot, you seem nervous...Well, be back on time then." Jonghyun checks his forehead, he was indeed sweating, he wasn't the best at lying. He arrives at the main road and sits in a taxi. "Where to young man?" Jonghyun checks his hand with writing on it. "Animal shelter in Gap-dong." The taxi driver speeds off. The destination was seen after 25 minutes of driving. "That'll be 5500 won sir." Jonghyun pays and walks towards the shelter. A woman comes up to him. "Hi. Are you here to adopt a puppy, cat or hamster? There are several different animals here in need of an owner." Jonghyun looks to and fro. "I'll look around and call you if I need help. By the way do you know a woman called Tiana who works here?" The woman checks her files behind the desk. "Yeah she volunteers here for free and works in the horse ranch near us. She's been helping us for around a year now." The woman leans in to whisper her gossip. "I heard she quit her high profile job. Apparently she felt guilty for framing her lover. His identity is unknown. Talk about stupid move! Who would give up such a good paying job and repent in a smelly horse ranch. Her sister Mara is very popular, she is well known for her research and investigative work. I admire her! A strong woman like that.." Jonghyun seems intrigued and amiss about what he felt towards Tiana. He cared enough to come all this way to find out about her. Maybe it was just curiosity why would he like her? He found it hard to forgive people and today was not the day for him to change. A woman walks in breaking his conflicting views. "Hi. I'm back." Jonghyun glances from his hoodie and pulls it's strings hiding his face even more. He had to get out of here! Tiana asks his name and he refuses to give it with a shake of his hand. Jonghyun quickly runs and almost trips over a pebble, after a little hurdle he continues running off. Tiana gazes at him going off in the distance. "He is weird..." 

Dru is handed a list of food by Onew which he says out loud to her as she skims through the list. "There will be jajamyun, kimbap, kimchi, anchovies, fried beef, stir fry ect. My guests will come over a little earlier than expected. They'll be here after our shoot together has ended. I want these dishes made by then. I hope you can cook. Can you?" Dru stares at the long list thinking she is doomed. "I? Cook? Ha ha.." Onew didn't care either way. "Okay then I'll leave you to it." The members continue with their busy schedule. Dru procrastinates over how she could solve this problem. She dials Faye who reaches to her place in seconds like a rescue worker. "So cooking? I will help. No problem! Just do as I say. We will be done on time." Both girls put two yellow, muffin print aprons on that were hanging behind the kitchen door. Faye orders Dru around and gets on with the job. A discussion pops up while they both talk and roll kimbaps at the same time. "Dru. Why the long face with Minho? I understand the reasons behind your cold shoulder but it's better to forgive and forget. He still really likes you. It was harsh circumstances. He admits to making a mistake, I could see regret written all over his face." Dru dices her carrots even louder, slashing the blade against the orange matter. "I prefer not to talk about it." An aggravated Faye fails to admit defeat. "Why? You can't ignore your problems like this!" She softens her tone. "Dru please just give him one more chance for me?" Dru unable to maintain the fight gives in. "Fine, I will act normal with him. Just don't expect anything from me." Overjoyed Faye kisses Dru on the hand. "Thanks baby!" 

Shinee return and sit in the main room. Taemin goes to the kitchen and spots Faye. "Smells good in here. It's nice of you to come over and help. I'll join in." Taemin helps lay out the dishes on the centre table, placed for the guests to sit around. In no time the door bell rings. Minho goes to welcome the special guests Yunho and Changmin. Key the fashionista comments on Changmin's style. "Wow that's a big v-neck you got." Yunho laughs at the comment. "Yeah our gay stylist chingu likes to see a bit of skin here and there if you get what I mean. I think Changmin's his favourite." Changmin nudges Yunho to stop teasing him. Dru and Faye come to ask if there is anything else they need. Faye and Changmin lock eyes. "Hey! It's you again?!" Taemin looks at Changmin. "You both have met before?" Changmin gets up and puts his arm around Faye. "She's my number one fangirl. She borrowed an umbrella from me yesterday." Faye smiles back at Changmin lovingly making Taemin feel a little awry. Minho introduces the new worker. "This is Dru she is working here as the housekeeper. I think Faye came over to help her for today." Dru bows politely. Yunho compliments Dru's efforts, Minho looks at Dru and Yunho interacting together in a lengthy conversation. He twists the lucky thread on his wrist a million thoughts cross his mind. He begins to imagine a romantic scene. Dru is standing on the balcony like a damsel in distress waiting for her Yunho charming. He comes on a flying unicorn wearing knight armour. Yunho gives Dru a sparkling red rose and they lean in to kiss under the fairytale moon. "No! NOOO!" The people in the room turn to Minho who is acting unusual and randomly shouting. Yunho bemused and intrigued by Minho, laughs a little. "No what?" Minho drinks some water. "No I am not thirsty anymore... Sorry I am not in the right mind. Just ignore it." Minho hears Zara the fortune tellers words in his head distracting him from the others. "There will be competition...There will be competition...There will be competition."
