Stray Kids made a comeback with their new single, topping music charts and breaking records. But for Tyla, the hate train kept rolling. She tried to ignore it, but it was hard.
she was alone in the dorm, the other members out on schedules. She decided to face the comments head-on, scrolling through her phone with a heavy heart.
The hate was relentless, comments about her skin color, her features, her talent. Tyla felt tears pricking at the corners of her eyes as she read, her self-doubt creeping in.
Just as she was about to break down, Chan walked into the dorm, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Tyla. He saw the tears in her eyes and immediately knew something was wrong.
"Tyla, what's wrong?" he asked, rushing to her side.
Tyla tried to brush it off, but Chan saw the comments on her phone. His face darkened, and he pulled her into a hug. "Don't read that stuff, Tyla. It's not worth it."
But Tyla broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. Chan held her for hours, whispering words of encouragement.
"JYP chose you to debut because of your talent, not your color. You're beautiful, Tyla, inside and out. Don't let them bring you down."
Tyla cried until she was exhausted, her body shaking with sobs. Chan held her tight, his shirt soaked with her tears. Eventually, she fell asleep in his arms, her head on his shoulder.
Chan sat there, holding her, his heart aching for the pain she'd endured. He stroked her hair, whispering softly, "You're loved, Tyla. You're enough."
As the hours passed, the other members returned to the dorm, but Chan didn't move, holding Tyla close until she woke up, her eyes puffy from crying. He smiled softly, and Tyla knew she was safe, surrounded by people who loved her for who she was.
