Comes the weekend, what we'd all been waiting for in ages. John was off bedrest but I still demanded he'd be careful, I know how rough he can be with himself.

"Kate, move yer arse, we're gonna be late!" John shouts from downstairs.
"I'm comin', I'm comin'. Jeez, yer impatient." I sigh as I rush down the stairs.
"Terribly sorry my lady, would you have rather taken your sweet time to do your manicure and miss the reunion?" John sarcastically grits through his teeth.
Johnny quickly stashes our bags in the back of his car, slams the trunk down and gets in the car.

"Ready? You got everythin'?" He asks.
"Yup, I think so." I check my handbag one last time and confirm.

John drives down the road we usually take but takes a random turn at one point.
"Hey, that was the wrong turn? Are you forgettin' the way back home?" I joke as I watch him drive into a small village, houses looking all the same.

"No, we're here for a reason, just watch." He smirks as he drives up to a house and beeps his horn. I jump at the sound of the horn, definitely not what I was expecting.
"Jesus Christ, why would you do that?! Are you tryin' to scare off the neighbours?" I ask, a little worried.

The door to the little house opens and you'd never guess who steps out.

"Took ya sweet time, didn't ya, ghostie?" John laughs, his head out the window.
"Don't push your luck, mactavish." He speaks sternly.
"Hey, what did I do?" I laugh.

    He gave in?
"Tha e tighinn?" I softly speak to Johnny, catching his attention before Ghost enters the car.
      Surprisingly.
"Gu h-iongantach." He mentions.
Ghost opens the back car door and hops in, setting his bag down next to him.

As we drive back home to Scotland, we have a lot of fun. Usually, we always have fun on the way there, if it's singing to old pop songs we heard on the radio back then or catching up on the latest gossip, it's always fun.

-

"So, has Johnny told you about our siblings?" I look back at Ghost.
"I've heard enough to know you both only see 6 siblings to your eyes, Kathleen." He sternly responds.
"Right, so he's told you literally everythin'." I glance back at Johnny, a death glare and a threatening smile.
"He asked for the full story!" Johnny tries to save himself.
"I'm so telling Matty." I grit through my teeth.
"Anyone but Matty, please!" He begs.
"Aye, ya lost yer chance, John!" I chuckle.

Once we get there, a big house, really big cottage-looking house towers over us.
"Has it been refurbished or are we at the wrong house?" I ask, not remembering the family house looking like so.
"Lessie decided a new look would nae hurt." John answers, a little confused as well.
"It looks nice." Ghost simply says.
Is he going to brood all day?
"A bheil e a' dol a dh' àrach fad an latha?" I look at John, a little worried.
I don't know, he's just like that Katie.
"Chan eil fhios 'am, tha e dìreach mar sin Katie." John shrugs his shoulders and hopes for the best.

I step out of the car and I'm shaken up, well rather, welcomed by the fresh winds of Scotland. I'm content to be home. John steps out and goes to grab the box of beer in the trunk.
