Martha opened the room with a hint of nervousness on her face. Kylan wondered why she's nervous, but his curiosity fades as he steps into the room, greeted by a sight of chaos. It's not dirty, but it's far from clean. Papers litter the big desk, spilling onto the floor, and there are books everywhere. How should I go in?

"What is this now.. Why is this room so messy?" kylan inquired, puzzled by the disarray.

She awkwardly looks at him and replies, "We thought you would come after three days, so we just cleaned the duchess's room. We planned to clean the rest the next day, as you already know she was here just the evening before leaving for the party."

She hurriedly went in and started moving documents around, clearly nervous. My wife sure is one hell of a disorderly girl. Kylan moves forward and take a seat in her chair-it's surprisingly more comfortable than mine. There's also a small table nearby. It seems she puts her legs on it when they get tired. Kylan can't help but smile a little at the thought.

"Did she always stay like this in her room too?" kylan asked, gesturing to the clutter.

"Yes, she always stays like this," Martha confirmed.

But in front of him on the desk were papers all filled with her handwriting. Her writing is good, but she is a very disordered person. Just look at her pens, her bookmarks, her lamp, her books...he looked around on the desk and found other files beneath the papers. He opened that file, and he was stunned again. It's the property paper of the land I wanted for myself, but the owner was too stingy to even have a conversation with me. He looks at Edward because he had never told anyone about him wanting this land, beside Edward.

"How did she come to possess this?" kylan inquired.

Edward stepped forward, explaining, "It slipped from my mouth when the Duchess was talking about you."

"She was talking about me?"

"Yes, she wanted to give you something for your birthday, so she asked me if there was something specific you desired."

"Ohh.. but my birthday..." kylan looked at the last page with another written note of her..
[ Happy 24th birthday my dear...
Here is my goodbye and your birthday present]

"But my birthday..." kylan trailed off, realizing that it was still three days away.

"You were originally supposed to return after three days, but you came early," Martha reminded him.

"Yeah, I know. I just wanted to see Rina earlier, but now look what happened,"Kylan lamented, weighed down by guilt for his actions.I hope she will forgive me. "But even as a birthday present, it's not too extravagant. It's not even mentioned in the documents. Did she not purchase it with the money she earned for the duchy?" kylan inquired.

"Of course she didn't. She has plenty of wealth at her disposal. She could have bought anything she wanted," Lux interjected, his tone smug.

"Then how did she convince the landowner to sell?"kylan inquired, as I had been met with refusal every time I had attempted to negotiate.

"It's because she was the owner," Lux revealed, much to his surprise.

"What?" kylan exclaimed, taken aback by the revelation.

"Then why did she not accept any of my previous letters?" kylan questioned, confused.

"She didn't even know you were interested in buying that land," Lux explained.

"How is that possible? I sent letters every month!" kylan protested.

"Because she didn't get to hear the full story about it. Whenever we tried to talk to her about this, something always came up, and it was left alone. So I just wrote that the owner is too busy to meet. Well, it's true that she was too busy," Lux finished his sentence.
