"It's here!" The Count exclaimed as he burst through the great room in the morning before school.

"Does he have to get that excited every time his coffin monthly magazine shows up?" Vlad asked aloud.

"Why are you up so early?" Ingrid asked.

"Because of this!" The Count replied, holding up an envelope. "Vlad's destiny."

"I didn't know a burger boy uniform could fit in an envelope." Ingrid joked.

"Oh Ingrid, do go away." The Count snarked in reply. "In this envelope is the exam paper for your first blood test! The first step along the long and blood-soaked path to vampire-hood." The Count explained.

"I thought you said exams weren't important." Vlad said.

"This one is." The Count replied.

"Too bad he's not gonna pass." Ingrid said sarcastically.

"Oh yes he will. If he doesn't he won't get his full vampire powers." The count replied.

"I don't want that to happen." Vlad spoke sarcastically.

"Exactly! Wait, this isn't one of your 'i want to be normal' things is it?" The count asked.

"Um... no?" Vlad responded.

"Better not be. You're going to pass this test or you won't be setting foot in that useless school ever again. And you won't be seeing those Breather friends of yours either." The count threatened.

"What?!" Vlad exclaimed.

"Aww, that would be a shame." Ingrid said sarcastically. "But daddy knows best Vlady."

Vlad didn't want to pass his blood test. It could be his chance to become normal. But on the other hand he risked losing his friends. Ingris unfortunately had to rely on him passing as well because if he didn't she wouldn't get her full powers either despite passing all of hers with flying colors. With pressure from more than one side Vlad was conflicted on what to do. But then the day to take the test came.

"Vlad's test results." The Count announced. "That will prove that Vlad is the vampiric genius I know he is." The count said while opening the envelope. They were all nervous while the Count read the results. "Huh... that's rather disappointing." He spoke.

"Oh no!" Vlad sighed.

"I can't believe this is happening." Ingrid spoke.

"53%. Even Ingrid scored more that that." The Count announced the reason for his disappointment.

"You mean he passed?" Zoltan asked in surprise.

"Technically." The count seethed.

"Yes!" Vlad and Ingrid celebrated. In the excitement Ingrid even reached over and kissed the top of Vlad's head. It took them both by surprise.

"Did I mention that one day I'll be te most powerful vampire in the world and you'll all fall at my feet and worship me." She tried to say to keep her evil appearance.

"I wouldn't get too cocky if I were you. I've still got three more blood tests to go." Vlad replied.
