Sun Wukong and Macaque had a plan—one that was simple in concept but complicated in execution. They wanted to invite Y/N to Flower Fruit Mountain, hoping to win her favor and soften the harsh impression they feared she might have after their initial encounter. When they finally extended the invitation, both were surprised when she accepted without hesitation.Y/N arrived at the base of Flower Fruit Mountain, and the sight of the lush, vibrant landscape left her momentarily speechless. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers, and the gentle sounds of wildlife were accompanied by the occasional playful screech of the resident monkeys. As she made her way through the forest, the monkeys approached her cautiously, their curious eyes gleaming with intelligence. A small group of them decided to act as her guides, leading her up the winding path to Sun Wukong's palace.
As Y/N followed the monkeys, she was amazed by how affectionate and playful they were. One particularly bold little monkey clambered up her shoulder, chattering happily as it played with her hair. She chuckled softly, gently scratching the little one's chin. The rest of the journey was filled with similar small interactions, leaving Y/N with a fond smile on her face.
When she finally reached the palace, Sun Wukong was already waiting at the entrance, a nervous but eager grin on his face. "Y/N! You made it!" he exclaimed, rushing over to greet her. "Welcome to Flower Fruit Mountain!"
Y/N gave him a polite smile, taking in the grand yet somehow humble surroundings. "Thank you, Sun Wukong. Your mountain and palace are wonderful. I didn't expect such a beautiful place."
Sun Wukong's heart skipped a beat at her compliment, and he couldn't stop the blush from creeping up his cheeks. Before he could say anything more, Macaque appeared behind him, his six eyes widening slightly in surprise.
"You actually came," Macaque said, his tone a mix of curiosity and relief. The memory of Y/N's earlier aggression was still fresh in his mind, and he unconsciously rubbed his ear, where she had pulled on him.
Y/N noticed his gesture and immediately apologized. "I'm sorry for pulling on your ears like that. I got carried away."
Macaque pouted for a moment before sighing. "It's fine. I guess I deserved it for underestimating you."
Sun Wukong, who was not fond of sharing the spotlight, quickly interjected, "Well, now that you're here, let me show you around! There's so much to see."
Y/N nodded, genuinely interested. "Lead the way, then."
As they walked, Sun Wukong found himself enjoying her company more than he expected, but he was careful not to let his feelings show too openly. He guided her through the palace, proudly showing off the intricate carvings and ornate decorations that adorned the walls. Y/N listened attentively, occasionally offering praise that made Sun Wukong's heart flutter.
Just as they were reaching a particularly grand hall, Macaque noticed a mischievous glint in Sun Wukong's eyes. Before he could voice his suspicion, Sun Wukong abruptly changed direction and led them outside to a secluded grove where the baby monkeys were kept.
Y/N's eyes lit up at the sight. She gently approached the tiny creatures, her heart melting at their cuteness. One of the braver babies toddled up to her, its tiny hands reaching out. Y/N crouched down and scooped the baby up, cradling it in her arms as she cooed softly. The baby monkey nestled into her warmth, and Y/N couldn't help but snuggle it closer.
Sun Wukong felt a pang of regret as he watched the scene unfold. He hadn't considered that bringing her to the baby monkeys would mean he would lose her attention completely. He tried to hide his growing jealousy, but Macaque noticed the shift in his demeanor.
With a sigh, Macaque patted Sun Wukong on the shoulder, a silent acknowledgment of how ridiculous it was to be jealous of a baby monkey. "She likes them," Macaque pointed out with a slight smirk. "Don't be stupid, Wukong."
Sun Wukong sighed and nodded, realizing his foolishness. But it still bothered him to see Y/N so focused on the baby monkeys. He wanted her attention, even if he didn't quite understand why.
"These little ones are so adorable," Y/N remarked, looking up at Sun Wukong with a warm smile. "You must be proud of your people."
Sun Wukong's heart raced, and he had to resist the urge to blurt out something embarrassing. He wanted to ask her if she thought he was adorable too, but before he could make a fool of himself, Macaque swiftly intervened by slapping the back of his head.
"Stop being a lovesick idiot," Macaque muttered under his breath, before turning to Y/N with a smile. "Would you like to see more of the mountain? There's still plenty to explore."
Y/N quickly agreed, her excitement evident. Macaque took the lead this time, showing her the hidden nooks and crannies of the mountain, places only a few had ever seen. Sun Wukong, though still pouting, followed closely behind, determined not to let Macaque steal all of Y/N's attention.
As they continued their tour, the three of them fell into an easy rhythm. Y/N, still oblivious to their growing feelings for her, enjoyed the companionship of the two mischievous immortals. Little did she know that beneath the playful banter and friendly gestures, a rivalry was slowly simmering—one that would soon turn Flower Fruit Mountain into the setting for an intense battle of hearts.
