The air in the Celestial Realm was serene, a stark contrast to the chaos of the recent battle. Y/N had just finished her healing session, her body refreshed but her spirit still carrying the weight of the fight. She exhaled deeply as she stepped out of the healing chambers, only to be met immediately by a stern look from Erlang Shen."That was reckless," he scolded, crossing his arms as his eyes bore into her. "You can't just throw yourself into battle like that. What if something had happened to you?"
Y/N rolled her eyes, knowing his concern was genuine but feeling slightly annoyed nonetheless. "I know, I know," she muttered, trying to hide her smirk. "I'll be more careful next time."
"See that you do," Erlang Shen said, his tone softening as he gave her a nod of approval. Before he could continue, however, Nezha bounded over, his face lighting up the moment he saw her.
"Y/N! You're alright!" Nezha exclaimed, pulling her into a tight hug. She laughed, returning his embrace. His excitement was infectious, and for a moment, all the tension melted away. Nezha's joy had a way of brightening even the darkest of moments.
Hours later, Y/N found herself wandering through the Celestial Garden. It was a quiet place, filled with vibrant flowers of every color and ancient trees that towered overhead. She let her fingers brush along the petals, feeling a sense of peace settle over her.
Her eyes landed on the Immortal Peach Tree, its branches heavy with the forbidden fruit that granted eternal life. She approached it slowly, her gaze sharpening as she ensured no one else was nearby. The tree was sacred, and its fruits were closely guarded. She was about to turn away when she suddenly felt arms wrap around her from behind.
Startled, Y/N spun around, only to find herself face-to-face with Wukong, his mischievous grin lighting up his face. "Did I scare you?" he teased, his arms still loosely wrapped around her.
Before she could respond, another figure emerged from her shadow, melting into form beside them. Macaque smirked, crossing his arms as he looked her over. "We had such a wonderful time with you on the battlefield, princess," he said with a chuckle.
Annoyed, Y/N clenched her fist and swung, landing a punch straight to Macaque's face. He staggered back, but to her frustration, he only laughed, rubbing his jaw. "I think I'm starting to enjoy it when you're aggressive," he taunted, his eyes gleaming with dark amusement.
Wukong snickered beside him, casting a sideways glance at his companion. "Careful, Macaque. She might actually hurt you one of these days."
Y/N narrowed her eyes at them, crossing her arms in irritation. "What do you two want?" she asked, her tone dripping with exasperation.
Wukong rubbed his cheek where her fist had grazed him, looking unbothered. "We just wanted to see our precious diamond again," he said, his voice playful and affectionate. He turned to the Immortal Peach Tree, his gaze shifting to one of the peaches hanging just within reach.
Before she could stop him, Wukong plucked a peach from the branch, a look of triumph on his face. Y/N's eyes widened as she rushed forward, reaching for the peach in his hand. "You can't just take that! It's forbidden!"
He held the peach just out of her reach, grinning down at her. "Oh, come on. Just one won't hurt," he teased, savoring her frustration. She jumped to grab it, but he easily dodged, his laughter echoing in the peaceful garden.
As Wukong continued to toy with her, Macaque watched them with a smirk, clearly enjoying the show. Finally, Wukong stopped, tilting his head as he looked at her thoughtfully. "Anyway, you should come visit us sometime," he said, his tone shifting to something almost sincere. "We'd love to have you over."
Macaque scoffed, nudging Wukong's shoulder. "Speak for yourself, Monkey King," he muttered, though his teasing grin betrayed his amusement.
Y/N blinked, a bit taken aback by the sudden invitation. She hadn't expected Wukong, of all people, to extend such an offer. She opened her mouth to respond, but before she could say anything, Wukong cleared his throat and gave her a playful wink. "See you later, precious diamond."
With a mischievous smirk, he reached out and tapped her nose gently before he and Macaque vanished in a flash of light, leaving her alone in the garden.
Y/N sighed, feeling both irritated and intrigued by the strange encounter. She looked at the Immortal Peach Tree, half-expecting another surprise attack, but the garden was once again silent.
As she turned to leave, she couldn't help but feel a slight tug of curiosity in her chest. Something told her this wouldn't be the last time she saw Wukong and Macaque—and perhaps, deep down, a part of her didn't mind.
