"Eh, I dunno" Alex stepped away from his coworker (that he secretly called bicho raro) and then continued to stock the shelves in front of him. "I'm on the boss' last nerve, he's already threatened to fire me like, twice"
El Bicho Raro shrugged. "Come on, dude" He repeated. For context, Alex was just doing his job until the man came up and suggested to ditch the place and have some fun. "Who cares? You don't get paid well anyways"
"No. I'm good" Alex grabbed the cart that carried all the items he had to restock and pushed it away, walking away from the situation.
But it didn't stop.
"Bro! Bro, listen" Bicho Raro chased after Alex. "Just a few minutes and you'll be feeling like you wanna quit" He wrapped an arm around Alex's shoulder and lightly shook him.
Alex grimaced and rolled his eyes. He went to reply, but someone spoke up quicker. "Excuse me, sir. Could you show me where the eggs are?"
The two men turned their heads, noticing you standing there with a shopping basket in one of your hands. You stared at Alex, hoping he'd realize you were talking about him. Alex's coworker nudged him aside. "Of course, no problem" Bicho Raro assured you. Alex glared at him while you stepped back, grimacing at the stare he gave you.
"I was asking him," You pointed at Alex. He pushed his coworker back with his shoulder and glanced back at him before looking at you.
"Uhh, yeah! Yeah, of course" Alex smiled at you. He slipped away from El Bicho Raro and walked away with you, he didn't want to look back but he took a small peek over his shoulder and saw that the man was already gone. "Oh my fucking god, thank you..!" Alex whined, slumping against you slightly. "It was getting so annoying"
"It was nothing! I just saw you and noticed how uncomfortable everything seemed so I came over-- by the way, you work here?" You rambled to Alex as you both walked. He stared at you for a moment, an unreadable expression on his face.
