your hair flowed easily in the water around you, your body floating peacefully as you closed your eyes contently. bakugou watched you closely, taking notice of the way your lips seemed to twitch into a smile as he calmly floated near you.
the week had flown by without a care in the world, time passing by without a shred of mercy to his protests of this trip ever ending.
when bakugou katsuki said he'd do his very fucking best, he absolutely and completely meant that shit.
in fact, he even went as far as to pay attention to the smallest things when it came to you. the way you'd nervously look away from him during the trip, to the way you'd stammer out a shy "hello katsu!" anytime you'd see him in the hallways of the luxury hotel you had arranged for the class.
the first official day as a couple, bakugou had surprised you with a spontaneous date. flowers in his hand that he had picked out himself, a cute bear he had noticed you eyeing the other day, and a small grin on his face as he came to pick you up.
a picnic by the beach, the special spot that was now your favorite place for the summer having been shared between you both as you chatted and laughed about one thing and the other.
that night, the first date had ended with stargazing.
