Shayla cleared her throat, praying and hoping it wouldn't crack in front of the sea of campers staring dead into her soul.
Percy stared at Shayla, as if expecting her to be the one to answer. Shayla took a deep breath in before turning to Delilah.
"Delilah, you're coming with us. And Ace you too."
The two of them stared at Shayla. She stared back.
"Ladies?" Chiron called and Shayla snapped her head towards where he had called, grateful for the distraction from all the stares.
Shayla hurried to the front, dreading the new conversation bound to happen. Annabeth side-eyed Shayla, as she returned the gesture. They both stepped into the door.
"Please come in, and take a seat." Chiron gestured to the two chairs and Shayla hesitantly sat in one. It was blue and cushioned.
"I want to talk about the fight which happened earlier today." Chiron was in wheelchair mode at the moment and Shayla slowly sunk into her chair.
Shayla wasn't going to lie, she believed the centaur secretly had a knack for hearing drama. The thought of the guy giggling at some rumors almost made Shayla smile.
"Why don't you ask Annabeth?" Shayla said, sending the girl a look. She didn't want to forgive the girl, she had brought back painful memories which she didn't want to relive. Plus, she had a chance to be petty, and, Shayla took all the chances she could get to be petty.
"Shayla, I told you I was possessed." Annabeth replied with an eye roll.
"It's still assault." Shayla snapped, sending Annabeth another look.
Annabeth's nostrils flared up and she opened her mouth with a retort but, thankfully, Chiron interrupted her, "Annabeth, just tell us what you remember."
"Well, I was fighting with Percy when she was standing there looking all angry-"
"THAT'S A FUCKING LIE!!!!" Shayla yelled pointing an accusing finger at Annabeth.
"SHAYLA DAWSON!" Chiron huffed, sending her a cut-eye before gesturing for Annabeth to continue.
"Like I said, I was out of control of my body and I was fighting with Percy, when I saw her standing all angry and the spirit said I was mad at her so I got close and she yelled at me-"
"LIAR!!" Shayla yelled at the top of her lungs, and leaped out of her chair, rapidly pointing at Annabeth.
"Shayla. Sit. Down." Chiron growled and Shayla did so. He was kinda scary. "Now, Shayla, would you please, tell us what happened."
"Well, I was told there was an argument I saw Annabeth and Percy arguing, Annabeth turned to me, then said, "It's her, isn't it." Then smacked my face! So I yelled at her!" Shayla shrugged.
"Shayla, did you do something to provoke the action?" Chiron raised an eyebrow.
"No."
"Okay, you all are acting like I wasn't possessed." Annabeth threw her hands up in frustration.
"BUT YOUR EYES WEREN'T GLOWING RED!!" Shayla complained. If her eyes were growing red and she was floating with her neck snapped in the air Vecna style, Shayla would've believed it.
"Did you look at my eyes, Shayla?" Annabeth quirked an eyebrow and crossed her arms. Shayla knot her eyebrows together, not understanding her question, "Yes..."
"Now, what exact color were they?" Annabeth widened her eyes so Shayla could see.
They did look a bit different.
