La Fin.

What a ride this has been. Never would I have imagined growing so attached to Five and Emery's journey, waiting literal years for the seasons to be released, and writing four books about them. I am so sad to say goodbye to them but I am also glad to say that Emery and Five finally get their happy ending. Writing the epilogue, (though it was roughly the length of another chapter) was like the therapy session I never got as I got to craft the ending that I always would have liked to envision more or less.

I know there was a lot of mixed feelings on season four so I just wanted to thank you all for giving me the creative freedom to change a large portion of the plot, writing in more original scenes than I have ever been able to in the other books and supporting me through it all. This book, despite the season having four less episodes than the others, ended up being longer as it was just so fun to write and to try and tie all the loose ends that I feel the showrunners skimmed over.

The sheer amount of research that went into this was insane. I tried to convey the ideas in a way I hoped was understandable because I thought it was cool to understand how the powers worked instead of the character just using them and calling it instinct. I enjoyed being able to dissect Emery's character this way and develop it over the course of the series. He was so fun to write as he was quite literally my inner voice while watching these seasons.

Now that I have successfully made it so that my autocorrect automatically capitalizes the number five any time I write it, I can finally say goodbye. I'll leave Emery and Five to their retirement with grandpa sweaters and a dog and a little house by a pond for fishing and quiet.

Thank you all for the support and don't be afraid to follow or read my other stories!
