Inspired by @NotEverWanted2 thank you for your suggestion! I had a blast writing this! Enjoy!

Bakugo pov:

A loud high pitched ringing radiated around me.

I've slowly been losing my hearing after I had joined UA. I had no idea that this would happen until I started actively using my quirk. It pissed me off.

I started learning sign language in case it got worse, and it, in fact, has gotten worse.

I looked around the classroom, just to make sure if I was the only one hearing the ringing. I knew that the ringing would shortly turn into muffled noises, then silence. I knew that as soon as I lost my hearing, my hopes of ever being a hero would be crushed. But I refused to think about that, I couldn't bring myself to. Everything I works so hard for was to be the number one hero. I couldn't stand the thought of it all going to waste.

"Bakugo!" I hear someone shout my name. I look to see Aizawa looked at me with a confused expression. I stare at the board to see if there was a question, but there wasn't so I'm assuming he asked it verbally. "Hm?" I asked with a raised brow. He furrowed his brows before shaking his head.

"I just asked you to explain..."

He started rambling about the question, but the ringing was too loud. I knew after any more uses of my quirk, it would be gone. Once his lips stopped moving, I shrugged and looked out of the window, choosing to ignore him. I could hear him continue the lesson, but the ringing was so goddamn annoying. After a moment, I stood up and walked out of the class, ignoring the confused gazes and protests from my teacher.

Fuck this shit... why couldn't I have just gotten what I dreamed for? Is this karma?

I closed my eyes and sighed as I leaned against the wall outside of the classroom, sliding down to the floor. I hugged my knees as I stuffed my head between my legs, desensitizing myself from the world.

Suddenly, there was a tap on my shoulder, causing me to flinch and look up. I see Aizawa stared at me with a perplexed look.

"You- you didn't hear me come out?" He asked as he motioned to the door he exited from. I shook my head and he sighed.

"So it's getting worse?"

Of course I told Aizawa. I hated every moment of it, but I had to. He needed to know that he was teaching a lost cause.

I hummed and nodded, which caused him to sigh. He made his way next to me and sat down as well, only he was in a crisscross position. "I see. So what's the plan? Cochlear Implant?" He asked with a louder tone, ensuring I could hear him. I glanced around before shrugging. "You can't give up, Bakugo. While yes, this is quite unfortunate, I'm sure you can get through it. I know you can. I've seen it done before," he said with a soft smile.

"Who?" I asked in confusion, irritation bubbling in my chest. He chuckled and looked up at the ceiling. "Mic," he hums to himself.

"Wait, as in Present Mic? He has an implant?" I asked with furrowed brows.

"He was stupid enough to not wear headphones while using his quirk for the first few years. Blew his own eardrums out over time. Now he wears them to ensure his implant doesn't- screech back into his ears," he said with a laugh. I nodded slowly. "I don't want everything I worked for to just go to shit," I whispered out as despair consumed me. I let my head fall back against the wall, looking at the wall across from me.

"You just gotta put in a little more effort, it'll be okay. We can get Recovery Girl in on this, see if she can get you checked out for one in due time," he said with a smile. I nodded cautiously.
