Chapter 37: Stolen Fight

Qrow and Tyrian face off, tension crackling in the air. Tyrian retracts his tail with a sly grin as Qrow spins around, weapon at the ready by his side.

Tyrian: Tch, Qrow huh... Fuck off.

Qrow: Oh, woke up on the wrong side of the law or something? Stalking children is illegal, no?

He poked fun of the furious Faunus who growled and glare to Jaune before he lets out a cackle.

Tyrian: Her Grace has tasked me with bringing this lovely young lady in. Orders are orders, after all. Can't disappoint the Queen now, can we?

Ruby: Queen?

Qrow: Salem.

Ruby: Who?

Tyrian's furious smile widens.

Tyrian: I think we've chatted enough, don't you agree?

He drops into a low, predatory crouch.

Qrow: Took the words right out of my mouth.

Before Qrow can finish, Tyrian lunges forward, and the battle erupts. Qrow blocks Tyrian's initial strikes with Harbinger, retaliating with a swift slash that Tyrian dodges by leaping and attempting a piercing strike as he lands. Qrow evades, swinging again as Tyrian backflips out of reach before charging back in.

Their weapons clash, sending Tyrian skidding back. He regains his footing by digging his blades into the ground, ducking under Qrow's next attack and sidestepping another. Tyrian counters with a swift slash and spins into a kick, but Qrow evades, attempting a kick of his own. Tyrian slides beneath it, trying to strike Qrow from behind, but Qrow blocks just in time.

The duel intensifies as Qrow deflects a series of rapid thrusts from Tyrian's tail. Locking blades, Tyrian drops to his knees under the force of Qrow's downward strike, causing a nearby roof to crumble from the impact. Seizing the moment, Tyrian fires off shots from The Queen's Servants, forcing Qrow to block with Harbinger as Tyrian circles him, maintaining a relentless barrage.

Seeing an opening, Ren and Nora jump into the fray, but Tyrian anticipates their move, dodging effortlessly and knocking them back with ease. As they tumble near Jaune and Ruby, Tyrian moves to pursue, but Qrow intercepts him.

Qrow: Stay back!

The fight between Qrow and Tyrian rages on.

Ruby: Fine!

Determined, Ruby scales a nearby building, positioning herself for a clear shot. But Qrow and Tyrian's movements are too quick and unpredictable, making it impossible for her to get a clean line of sight. Frustration etches across her face as she watches the blur of their battle.

Qrow blocks a jab from Tyrian's tail and counters swiftly. Tyrian parries and retaliates with a slash followed by a kick, which Qrow ducks under before launching a trio of swings that Tyrian evades gracefully. Using his tail like a springboard, Tyrian propels himself upward, firing down upon Qrow, who blocks and returns fire before dodging another incoming strike.

In a swift maneuver, Tyrian uses his tail to knock Harbinger from Qrow's grasp, sending it flying. Ruby seizes the opportunity, firing several shots from her rooftop perch. Tyrian, amused, deflects each bullet effortlessly with his tail.

Qrow clenches his fist and delivers a solid punch to Tyrian's face, causing him to stagger. Qrow follows up with a series of blows, finishing with a powerful kick that sends Tyrian hurtling backward. Calmly, Qrow retrieves Harbinger from where it lodged in a wall. Tyrian, visibly irritated, waits for Qrow's back to turn before launching another attack.
