I went off to bed to sleep not that it lasted long only four hours before I woke up biting my tongue to stop myself from screaming. So I got up and dressed and read in the silence of my room/house.
I felt so alone. My team wasn't here and neither were my predecessors who I considered the closest thing that I had to an actual family. And more importantly I didn't have Wolfie here to talk to when I got upset.
I suddenly heard a tingling like little bells at first I chuckled as I thought about Tingle, the little imp that seemed to be everywhere. Suddenly my room was bathed in a blue white glow as suddenly a little fairy appeared in my room.
"Navi?" I said because that hurt and ache to find Navi seemed to affect all heroes after Time.
"No my name is Levi, Link," the little fairy said before flying over to me.
"Don't call me Link, it's Christina or Chris for now...less confusing that way," I told Levi," but shouldn't you be be back in the Kokiri forest in Hyrule?"
"Okay Chris. And to answer your question The Great Deku tree sent me to you just like he did with Navi and Proxi in your previous lives," Levi said.
"Why? Better yet how?"
"I don't know how he just did as for why... I asked him to....I wanted to help the current hero," Levi told me.
"So you came here to help me before leaving again?"
"No"
I felt my heartbreak before grief took over, but the grief didn't feel like my own like Time was grieving through me.
I felt Levi press her tiny body against my cheek in comfort.
After I calmed down I laid back down on my bed and let Levi talk. This world was different from my own and while similar to Hyrule which was par for the course by now. The real problem was overbloting which happened when someone ran out of magic reserves something that as the Heroes Spirit wouldn't be a problem since we have a lot of magic in reserve thanks to our connection with Farore, the goddess of courage and life.
But everyone had a unique magic that uniquely belonged to them. Mine according to Levi allowed me to use the powers, equipment, and skills of my predecessors, their/my friends/allies, teammates, and others but for the others I had to have their consent in order to use their abilities.
I bolted up started to make a list of what I knew of each person. And it was a lot. And was going to be even more once I actually started making friends here.
"Wow," I said as I looked at the list.
"Yeah but for now get some sleep you'll need it," Levi said as she walked onto my pillow eyeing Grimm
"I'll just rest....dreams aren't really liking me right now, " I told her.
We laid there in silence. I could hear everything on campus. The heartbeats of the Students asleep in dorms, the kitchen staff preparing morning meals, it was peaceful.
The sun began to rise so I decided to finally get up and get ready for school. I got in my school uniform forgoing the skirt for pants. I then did my hair in a simple half up half down style implementing braids and a Rito hair ornament that made the chill of the morning warmer.
I then left the dorm and headed for the main campus cafeteria for breakfast picking up a sleeping Grimm if last night said anything about the cat's habits. I went to grab oatmeal only for the kitchen staff to hand me a tray without oatmeal but instead a breakfast fit for a king....I was going to need context later.
"Thank you, " I said since I was taught manners before taking the tray and finding a table in the far corner to eat.
I gave Levi the fruit bowl before I started to nibble on my breakfast since so far I was the only student here and I highly doubted that the teachers ate with the students.
