Su He turned around and saw Su Yucheng shouting, "The meat is all gone! What am I supposed to eat!"

A porcelain bowl was shattered on the ground, still bouncing around!

Su Hu and another colleague looked extremely awkward, holding their chopsticks.

Seeing this scene, Su Hu quickly said, "Sister-in-law, I've finished eating. I'll head back to the forest station now!"

The other colleague also hurriedly left.

Ye Chuanxiu went over and gave Su Yucheng a few light swats on his bottom.

Su He noticed that the force wasn't very strong.

Normally, Ye Chuanxiu wouldn't hit Su Yucheng, as he was the youngest son. However, today, with Su Zhaohua injured and no hospital visit planned, the situation was troublesome. Adding to that, Su Yucheng had driven away the guests, which was intolerable.

Despite this, Ye Chuanxiu didn't hit very hard, just a few light taps.

Su Yucheng, however, refused to stop and rolled on the ground!

Su He frowned, recognizing this was a common occurrence.

Usually, the situation ended with Ye Chuanxiu giving Su Yucheng some candy to stop his crying.

The family dynamics were complex.

The eldest sister, Su Mei, went to console Su Yucheng, but he refused to get up without candy or fish.

Su Rong continued eating slowly in the house, savoring the fish and rice.

Xiao Nan gua stood at the door, looking somewhat scared.

Ye Chuanxiu had poured all her love into the three older daughters, leaving little for the youngest son, Su Yucheng, and Xiao Nan gua.

Su He sighed and went to the kitchen, picking up Xiao Nan gua and preparing some rice with fish soup for her.

"Xiao Nan gua, you eat first!"

Since Xiao Nan gua hadn't finished her fish soup, Su He added some rice to it, making a simple meal.

Xiao Nan gua offered, "Duo Duo, I'll share half with you. You haven't eaten yet!"

Su He felt warmed by the gesture and waved his hand, saying, "It's okay, I'll just have rice soaked in hot water."

He remembered eating rice soaked in hot water when he was young, and it wasn't very tasty.

At that moment, Su He heard Su Rong loudly complain, "He spilled the fish soup. How is that my problem? Mom, your favoritism is outrageous. I don't have enough fish soup to eat!"

Su He rolled his eyes at the family's dysfunction.

Eldest sister, Su Mei, was gentle and refined, perhaps scared by the grandparents. Second sister, Su Rong, was selfish and looked down on others. Third sister, Su Rui, secretly took food for herself. The youngest brother, Su Yucheng, was spoiled and unruly.

If it were up to Su He, he'd have given Su Yucheng a good thrashing.

Su Zhaohua had also loudly scolded Su Yucheng, but the argument eventually subsided.

This family was truly difficult to manage.

They were poor and lacked unity, which was why they had been driven out by the grandparents. The parents had their issues too, with not being fair to everyone.

Soon, Ye Chuanxiu came to the kitchen and saw Su He eating rice soaked in hot water. She didn't say anything, quickly preparing a scrambled egg and a vegetable dish for Su Yucheng.

It seemed she had promised Su Yucheng an egg to calm him down.

Su He understood that as a mother, Ye Chuanxiu had her ways, even if they were difficult to accept.

Su He hadn't fully grasped the family dynamics yet, so he chose not to comment.

"Duo Duo, there's still food in the pot!" Xiao Nan gua said, startling Su He.

He realized that the food was meant only for them, so he felt relieved, thinking he wasn't entirely disliked by his mother.

After eating, Su He washed the dishes and sent Xiao Nan gua to nap, then went to his room.

The room had a bed for Su Yucheng and a small bamboo bed for Su He.

Why things were this way, Su He didn't comment.

After resting for a while, Su Yucheng came in, slamming the door loudly.

Su He frowned, "Can't you be quieter?"

Su Yucheng retorted, "Why should I listen to you?"

Su He was close to losing his temper but decided instead to walk outside.

In the short time since arriving in this world, just three hours, he was already emotionally drained.

He decided to head to the back mountain.

There was a large tree where Su He had built a small wooden house.

Climbing up, Su He settled in his private space, a refuge for himself.

He took out a small pouch of money from a jar—savings from hunting and fishing. It was a small amount, totaling three dollars and fifty-seven cents.

Su He hadn't used this money since he was a child in his past life.

He put the money away and sat down.

He had some tools, including a slingshot made from cowhide, which he was skilled with.

He tested it and felt confident in his abilities.

"Looks like I've inherited this skill. If I didn't bring the warehouse over, this would be useful for making money later."

He put the slingshot aside and picked up a fishing rod he had made from bamboo and nylon.

He planned to fish when he had time.

Sitting on the tree trunk, Su He began to think about how to access the warehouse.

"Was it just thinking about the warehouse that worked before? Or was there something else?
