"Spill," Asher says as soon as I enter the penthouse.
"What?" I ask, nonchalantly.
"What's up with you and princess blondie?"
He called her princess. "Who?"
"You know who I'm talking about. Your jaw ticked for the slightest microsecond but I saw it."
"I have no idea what you're talking about," I say, placing my bad on the chair and sitting on the single couch.
Alexei pipes up, "I'll tell you what's up. His dick."
I scoff and say, "Bullshit. She is fucking boring and thinks so high of herself, plus she's a nerd."
"Trust me, she is not boring," Asher says, chuckling.
"How do you know?" I narrow my eyes at him.
"I talk to her. She loves to read. They're freakiest and you know it. Damn, her body is a killer-" Before he can finish his sentence, I grab him by the neck. "Stay. The. Fuck. Away. From. Her. I meant. Don't cross me."
The bastard laughs, "Alexei, you owe me $500 plus $20 for the violence."
I release Asher, confused. Alexei removes a wad of cash from him pocket and hands Asher money. "Ya'll fuckers bet on me?"

My phone rings and I see it's Papa.

"Yes. They have invited us for dinner the day after thanksgiving. It's the girl, isn't it?"
"I have no idea what you are talking about."
