The sun came out while it rained

I just want him happy

Macau wakes up with Chay in his arms. Something about this felt normal the sun shining through the thin curtains. God how long has it been since the sun came out? He looks at Chay watching him sleep. 'He looks so peaceful so pretty not fair' thought Macau.

They show up to school together no one thought about it. Everyone was now used to seeing them together there was no Chay without Macau next to him. Kim was starting to think this friendship was weird I mean why would his cousin and boyfriend be so close there's dating rumors floating around. Kim knew there was nothing to really worry about he had Chay wrapped around his finger soo tightly that he said go Chay would ask how far. He just thought it was weird.

Chay was realizing that maybe he liked Macau and not in the oh that just my best friend type of way. He liked having him around and when he wasn't he missed him even if they had just seen each other. He liked that Macau listen and would make time for him. Chay felt seen and heard. Chay was starting to feel happy again and safe. Chay hadn't slept soo good next to someone in months.

Macau was realizing he was falling and really hard. Chay was an amazing guy with a kind personality very intelligent and sweet. He was nice to everyone and respectful. Macau loved how Chay would always try to help out others and how even after being so busy he would make time to see him. He loved how Chay would look out for him saving him a seat next to him in the cafeteria, getting him his favorite drink for after gym class, helping him with notes, and playing with his hair until he would fall asleep.

"Yo Macau come here" yelled Kim from his car Macau walk toward the passenger door window "yo Kim what's up ma?" Asked Macau "nothing much listen hop in the car I need to talk to you"said Kim in a serious tone which worried Macau.

"What's up is Vegas and Pete ok?" Asked Macau worried. "What oh yeah they are fine" said Kim "I actually wanted to ask you what's your deal with that Kim god what's his name uhm Chay" said Kim. "What do you mean ? We are friends why? Asked Macau "oh just why are you always around him looks like you like him or something it's kinda pathetic how you follow him around" said Kim with a hint of annoyance and disgust in his voice. " I don't know what you mean disgust and I do like him that's why I follow him around because I wanna be near him plus he is great company great talker and lister" said Macau "what? You like him? You know everyone know he likes some guy in the music club EVERYONE knows he's like obsessed with him" said Kim.

"I know I'm fully aware of it but I don't care I think the more time he spends with me the more he sees I'm not a bad guy." Macau said then stop to gather his thoughts "I want to see him happy if not with me with someone else I'll be ok as long as I can see him smile" Macau finally said looking out the window. Kim followed Macaus eyes and realized he was looking a Chay. Without another word Macau was out of the car and running to Chay. Kim felt angry Chay was his pet his little project he will not let anyone take that away.
