Everyday started the same for me, waking up at 6am, getting dressed and going downstairs to find my mother making my breakfast boiled egg and soldiers but this morning my mother wasn't downstairs.
The pans weren't out, not even the eggs. Something seemed wrong.
I ran upstairs towards her room calling out her name. I ran in and she was still asleep, "Mum, mum." I said shaking her arm slightly.
She woke with a groan, "What is it?" She asked.
"It's 6:30?" I told her and she got straight up, she hated her routine being ruined, it very rarely happened. I can only remember 3 times and all of them was because she'd spent the night watching movies with my father. I hate to say it but she was much better when he was around more down to earth.

This morning I just made myself some cereal, I knew Octavia would be here soon anyway and we usually sneakily buy a bacon roll on the way, so co-co pops were fine.
The door was budged open and Octavia ran in, her hair in a high ponytail,(not like her, her hair's almost always down.)
"Don't say anything. I'll explain on the way." She said and in a matter of seconds she'd grabbed my bag, coat and shoes from by the door and was shoving me out. I shouted bye to my mother as I was rudely being pushed.

"Okay, so basically. My hairs greasy! So greasy!" She said and I actually thought she was going to tell an extremely confusing story.
"Why don't you just wash it?" I asked.
"Because my mother!" Octavia started pouring out tears. "She got drunk! Her and a stupid random decided to ruin everything, the house, the garden and they even threw eggs at the neighbours. I spent half the night sorting her out.
"What about the random?" I asked now more interested in the story.
"Oh, Bell dealt with him." She told me.

We decided to ditch first lesson and go to the café instead. It was nice having some girly time, and I could tell it made her feel better. Octavia looked out of the window and her face went straight, her smile vanished and her eyes were no longer full of life. She got up and ran out, I obviously followed her.
"Octavia, where are you going." She said nothing but was staring at a man who was crossing the street. I grabbed her arm. "Octavia, what is it?"
"It's him. It's the random from last night. The one my brother..." She stopped and starting walking off. I looked at her and looked back at the man who was getting closer and closer. As I started walking toward Octavia the man started speeding up, then he started running toward me. He soon reached me and grabbed my arm. He pushed me harshly against the wall. Still glaring at Octavia. She turned around and saw the situation.
"CLARKE!" She screamed.

The man was quite tall, with a large build. He had dark hair and 3 piercings on his eyebrow, he also had snakebites.
"Go Octavia! Run!" I told her and the man put his hand over my mouth.
Octavia ran toward us and grabbed the mans arm trying to pull him away. He shoved her to the other end of the narrow alleyway hitting the wall. She'd passed out, I was on my own now. The only one who could help me, was me...
