Secret of the Desert

Hello everyone! This is my first fanfic and I'm SUPER EXCITED! And thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy.

Some notes about the story: Jasmine's tiger Rajah isn't in the story. Instead I made Levey a handmaiden for the princess(Lucy). Also instead of Zeref having a parrot he has a mini mavis. He however is the only one that can see and hear her. I have aslo given Lucy her own guards. Also here is a list of the characters and their Aladdin counterparts so that you don't get too confused: Natsu/Aladdin, Lucy/Jasmine, Grey/Genie, Happy/Abu, Zeref/Jafar, Mavis/Iagio, Jude/Saltan. That is all and now for the disclaimer!

[Zeref's POV]

I sat on my horse in the middle of the desert as I waited for Bora. It was getting colder by the minute and I was getting impatient. "Where is he?" I thought out loud. A little blonde haired girl appeared on my shoulder

"Just be patient. Getting angry will only make it hard for you to sleep at night." She said in a rather cheery voice. Honestly her voice often made me more angry but I could never stay mad at her.

"Well if he doesn't hurry I'm going to lock him in the palace dungeons. He is a thief after all." I continued to scowl about the late thief. I heard her laugh.

"Zeref you're so cute when your angry!" She squealed. I growled and looked away from her so that she couldn't see my faint blush. Before she could say anymore we saw a man walking towards us. She disappeared and the man greeted me.

"Good evening your grace. It's a beautiful evening." He gave a coy smile as he looked at the moon. I was becoming more annoyed but then Mavis' s voice replayed in my head and I had to struggle to hid my faint blush.

"You're late." I stated, glaring at him, "Do you have it?" I asked with a low growl in my throat.

"Do you think I'd show if I didn't. It was really hard to find though so this better be worth it." He said with a slight tremble in his voice. He then pulled half of a golden scarab and handed it to me. After I inspected it to make sure that it was real I pulled out the matching half. Everything seemed to stand still as I put the two halves together. As soon as they touched they the scarab began to glow and shot across the desert. We both just stood there slacked jawed.

"After it!" I yelled as I jumped on my horse. The scarab was fast but my horse was able to keep up well enough. After a couple of minutes the scarab broke apart and buried itself in the sand. The sand then began to glow and shift. By the time Bora reached me the sand had taken the shape of a dragon's head. The mouth of the dragon opened up and it spoke.

"Who disturbs my slumber?" It asked in a booming voice. I glared over at Bora until he realized what he was supposed to do. He approached the dragon head and spoke.

"It is I, Bora, a humble thief." The eyes of the dragon head stared down at him before it spoke.

"Know this. Only one whose worth lies far within may enter hear. The diamond in the rough." The dragon head then opened and had stairs going down into the ground. Bora looked back at me unsure of what to do now. I motioned for him to go in. He very hesitantly took a step into the mouth of the dragon and the second that he relaxed the dragon head roared and slammed it's mouth shut with Bora still inside. The dragon head then began to disappear into the ground and the scarab laid there dull and once again in half. I sighed and walked over to the pieces. Mavis once again appeared on my shoulder.

"Well that was a waste of time." She yawned as she stretched out on my shoulder.

"Yes. It seemed that Bora was less then worthy. Come on. Let's go back to the palace and begin our search for this diamond in the rough" I looked over at her but she was already asleep. I laughed to myself as I carefully got on my horse and rode back to the palace.

Awwww. Some cute little Mavis and Zeref moments =3

Yay first chapter done! Sorry this chapter is so short but the next ones will be longer I promise. Anyway.....I hope you all enjoyed this first chapter.
