[Natsu's POV]
After Zeref got away I stayed with Lucy until she fell asleep. I walked back to the guest house and threw my hat on the bed. I heard Grey come out of the lamp but I just pretended to be asleep. Once he left I laid there still in shock. Lucy loved me and I was going to be Sultan. I should be happy but a part of me told me that I would lose it all if they knew the truth. Lucy deserved so much better than a street rat in disguise. She deserved a true Prince but I was too selfish to let her go. Was that the right thing to do? I sighed and rolled over on the bed. There are so many emotions going through me. I feel like no matter what I do I'm going to end up hurting Lucy. Just thinking about her crying made my heart ache. I felt so guilty for lying to her but I didn't know what else to do. Maybe I should just listen to the popsicle and tell her the truth, I thought. No that would never work out. I can't be with her if I'm not a prince. I know I said that I would free Grey with my last wish but I'm starting to think I can't do this without him. I'll never admit this to him but its only because of him that I got this far. I didn't know what to do. Everything was happening so fast. I laid there thinking about everything until I noticed the sun peaking in the windows. I sat up in the bed and rubbed my face. I got dressed and saw Grey waiting for me when I was done.
"Hey lover boy. So not only did you get the girl but now you're going to be Sultan. And you exposed that snake Zeref. Way to go bud!" He said slapping my back. "Now you can wish me free and live you're new life. I think I'm actually going to miss your pink head. Maybe I'll come back and visit." He started laughing an . I was overcome with guilt.
"I can't wish you free yet." I said looking at the ground.
"What?" Grey asked sounding angry.
"You heard me stripper. I need more time."
"The hell you do. I know you're dumb but Lucy loves you so screwing this up is impossible, even for you." He said grabbing my collar. "You gave me your word and I'm gonna hold you to it. Even if I have to beat the snot out of you." He threw a punch and I planed on just taking but I got so angry and it just turned into a brawl. Juvia came in and broke us up. Grey disappeared into the lamp and when Juvia asked what happened I snapped at her and she flew away. I knew that I would have to apologize but first I needed to talk to Lucy. As if on cue I heard her voice calling me telling me to meet her in the throne room. I tried to pick up the lamp but it shocked. "Well fine stay in there!" I said putting the lamp under a pillow. I then set out to meet Lucy.[Mavis POV]
I was hiding behind a bush waiting for the pink haired boy to leave. Zeref had asked me to distract him and get a lamp that he had. I didn't want to steal from the boy. He seemed really nice, a little dumb, but nice. I asked Zeref why we had to take the lamp and he said that it was for the greater good. I guess the lamp is the key or something. I stopped listening to him after he began to pet my hair. Before I could zone out again I saw the pink haired boy leave the head towards the palace. I went into the room and didn't see the lamp. I remember Zeref telling me that it might be hidden so I started to look around. When I finally found the lamp it was under a pile of pillows. I flew back to Zeref knowing that this would make him very happy.
[Zeref's POV]
I sat in the tower looking at the crowed that had gathered. The sultan was going to announce who the princess was going to marry. My attention was drawn to the door where I saw Mavis flying in with the lamp. "Here you are Zeref! I got the lamp for you" She said happily. I took the lamp from her and she perched on my shoulder. "What does the lamp do again?" She asked.
"It's our ticket to a better world. Inside is someone who will give us everything we want." I said rubbing the lamp. A cool blue smoke came out and once it cleared we saw a man standing there with his back to us.
