All This for a Loaf of Bread?

Hello again lovies!!!! I'm excited to say that I have the second chapter for you guys! And I must say that even though this is only the second chapter I have a really good feeling about this story. I would also like to thank everyone who read the first chapter. I hope you guys enjoyed it and continue to read. Now are you guys read to see Natsu in all his cocky glory?? Alright but first the disclamier!

{Natsu's POV}

I ran down another alley in an attempt to lose the guards chasing me but damn they were fast. I saw a building coming up on my left and ran inside it. Maybe I can hide out on the roof I thought. Hopefully the guards were only fast and not smart. I ran up stairs but about halfway up I heard the guards heading for the stairs. "Damn it" I muttered under my breath. I got onto the roof and jumped the gap to the next one. I heard the guards come out onto the roof behind me. I turned to them and saluted them with my loaf of bread.
As I continued to flee over the rooftops I came across a gap about twice as big as the others. As I was trying to figure out my next move the door to the roof slammed open and I saw the guards that had been chasing me. I heard a collection of stop and get him as I ran towards the gap. It wasn't long before I started to fall. My hands searched for something to grab and they landed on a clothes line. I then slammed into the side of a building and fell flat on my back.

"Natsu! Now's not the time for a nap." I heard a voice say. I looked to see my cat Happy standing in the alley. I sat up and rubbed the back of my head. I was about to argue with Happy until I heard a voice above me shout.

"Halt don't move!" It was one of the guards. "We are coming to arrest you!" They shouted.

"Oi, you'll have to catch me first!" I shouted back and took off running with Happy close behind me

"Natsu. You really shouldn't tease them. That one with the red hair seemed really really scary." I just laughed as we into an alley and hid in a garbage bin. Once it was quite and we knew it was safe we climed out and sat along the wall. "That was close Natsu. They almost caught you." Happy said with a worried look on his face. We sit against a wall while I get our meal ready.

"Yeah they must have been really bored today. I mean all that for a loaf of bread? It's a little overkill." I said breaking the bread in half and giving it to Happy. Just as I was about to dig in I saw two little orphans digging through the garbage. One was a girl with long blue hair and the other was a boy with dark purple hair. I could tell that they were really good friends, possibly more.
I walked over to them and at first they seemed scared but as I handed them my half of the bread they smiled at me. "Come on Happy lets go home." I said as I walked away. When I looked back at Happy he was also giving up his bread. The girl orphan began to pet him as thanks. "Oi Happy, you coming?"
"Aye sir!" He said.
As we were walking home we heard a commotion in the street. After getting the all clear from Happy I went to check it out. I looked into the street and saw a young blonde man on magnificent white horse. Eveyone onthe street was captivated by him.
"Another suitor for the princess." I heard one man say. I could tell that this guy was stuck up but before I could leave I saw the little girl orphan running into the street. The prince's horse became spooked and began to thrash around in the street. The prince got the horse under control and glared at the two orphans standing in the street.

"Why you impertinent little brats!" The prince exclaimed as he pulled out a whip. I ran into the street and blocked the whip with my arm.

"If I were as rich as you I could afford some manners." I said throwing the whip back at him. The prince seemed almost shocked. He then continued to ride his horse but was sure to knock me into some mud.

"What would you know? You're only a worthless street. You were born a street rat, you'll die a street rat, and only your fleas will morn you." He said as the palace doors closed. I ran up to the doors all fired up and began to bang on them.

"What an asshole. I'm not worthless and Happy is the one with fleas." I put my hands on my head and sighed. "Come on Happy lets go home."

Awww. It's ok Natsu we know how awesome you are!

So I know I said chapter 2 would be longer and in my defense I never said by how much. I had a whole other scene to put in but in the end I just decided to scrap it. I got this chapter done a lot faster than I thought I would but chapter 3 will probably take me a little longer. And also I wrote most of this on my phone so sorry for any typos or spelling mistakes.
