I'm back bitches! Enjoy! ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[Lucy's POV]
My father kissed my forehead as he got up off my bed. I had just finished telling him everything that had happened. Me running away, meeting Natsu, the guards, and my talk with Zeref. I thought he would be furious with me but he seemed somewhat sad. "I will talk to Zeref first thing tomorrow about this mess. I promise you that he will be punished for such rash behavior."
"Thank you papa." I said. Then for the first time in hours, I smiled. It was small but it made my father happy. He opened the door and Levy came tumbling in. She quickly got up, dusted off, and bowed while mumbling an apology. My father chuckled and walked out the door. She closed the door behind him and hugged me. "Princess! I'm so sorry about listing but I didn't want to have to repeat yourself. Also I wanted to know what happened before the guards found you. I already scolded Gajeel for being so rude to you." I held up my hand to stop her and she did.
"It's alright Levy. I'm just really tired and would like to go to bed now. Run me a bath?" I asked rubbing my eyes.
"Of course Princess." She began to walk away but then she stopped. "Oh Gajeel wanted me to give this to you. I don't know what it says but he said it was important that you read it as soon as possible." She handed me a small yellowish envelope with the name 'Bunny Girl' on the front. I rolled my eyes and opened it after Levy left. My eyes lit up as I read the note.
Dear Bunny Girl, I've been keeping tabs on Zeref like you asked. He thinks I'm one of his lackeys so it's easy. It started out pretty normal. Just regular advisor stuff. It was really boring, but then he told me that I was relived because he was going to retire for the night, I of course followed him. He went down to the dungeons and that's where I lost him. I still waiting for him to come back but he hasn't yet. You were right, he's defiantly planning something. I'll send Levy with a message if anything else happens.
Gajeel.
I chewed on my lip as I pondered this information. Some many more questions were running through my mind. The only thing I knew for sure was that Zeref was up to something and could not be trusted. Levy's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "Princess." She said, looking somewhat concerned. "Your bath is ready." She said after I didn't respond. I shook my head and smiled at her.
"Thank you Levy. I can manage from here but I do have one more task for you if you don't mind."
"Anything for you Princess." She said smiling at me.
"Ok. I want you to go wait with Gajeel. He'll explain everything when you get there. But if anything happens I want you to come and tell me right away. Even if I'm sleeping. Do you understand?" She nodded her head the concern back on her face. It soon melted away and was replaced with a smile.
"Yes I understand Princess." She gave a small bow and then exited the room. I went to the bathroom and tried not to think about the day. Mostly Natsu.
[Natus's POV]
We were finally reaching the end of the tunnel and I couldn't be happier. It felt like we'd been in there for hours. When we got out I looked around and saw nothing. We were so far out in the desert that the skyline of the city was almost gone. I looked at the old man with confusion on my face. "Er, where the heck are we supposed to go now?" I looked to the old man but he was already at least fifty paces into the desert. Damn he's fast for an old man. I thought. "Come on Happy let's go." I said running towards the old man. When I caught up to the old man he didn't say anything. It didn't bother me, at first. When I couldn't stand it any longer I finally broke it. "So what's your name?" He stopped for a moment and looked at me.
"Why does my name matter child?" I couldn't tell in the dark but he seemed amused.
"It doesn't matter I just to know your name. I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours." I smirked thinking that I had caught his interest.
"But I already know your name, Natsu." I could see the big grin on his face this time. Call me crazy but for an old man there was something eerie about his smile. Suddenly another idea popped into my head. "Answer all my questions or else I won't go to the cave with you." I said stopping and crossing my arms. He stopped too and a look of furry washed over him. I could tell he was thinking carefully about what he wanted to say.
"My name is Makarov. Now can we keep moving? A storm will be crossing our path tonight." I could tell he was pissed but I didn't care. I had just found a way to get all my questions answered. A smirk appeared on my face and I followed Makarov. I asked him questions until the storm rolled in, after that opening my mouth only resulted in a mouthful of sand.
[Zeref's POV]
Never in my life have I been so glad for a sand storm. I thought that idiot would never shut up. The only good thing to come out of his mouth had been the idea to tie our hands together with his scarf.
*flashback*
We were now about 100 miles into the desert and I could feel my amulet glowing under my shirt. Whenever a storm or other natural disaster is about to happen it glows blue. I took a peak while Natsu continued to prattle on about his lost dad or something. I stopped after checking the amulet and he ran into me falling on the sand. I rolled my eyes before turning towards him. "There's a storm coming in. You need to stay close to me." He pondered the thought for a minute and then broke into a childish grin.
"Give me your hand." He said. Before I could question him he grabbed my hand and tied a white scaly scarf around it. He then held up our bound hands with a triumphant look on his face. "Now there's no way we'll get separated." I smirked. Maybe there is a brain under all that pink hair. I thought. We began walking again and then the storm hit.
*flashback ends*
I looked down at the amulet and saw that the glow was fading. After a few minutes it stopped glowing along with the storm. I stopped walking causing Natsu to once again fall into the sand. Only this time I joined him since our hands were still bound. I growled and looked at him only to he baffled. He was smiling like a little kid! What is this guys problem I thought. I untied our wrists and threw the scarf at him. "We're here." I said taking the pieces of the golden scarb.
"I don't see a cave. I thought you said this treasure was in a cave?"
"Patience my boy. I know what I'm doing." I then held out the scarb pieces for him to see. I put them together and the zoomed off. Thankfully we weren't that far from where they landed so we were able to follow them easily. By the time we reached them the dragon head that formed sereved as the entrance to the cave had formed. As we approached the boy seemed nervous but amazed at the same time. "Remember, first bring me the lamp and then you shall have your reward." With that Natsu began to walk forward.
[Natsu's POV]
I admit, at first I was a little freaked out, but also kinda amazed. I mean it was at least fifty feet tall and a dragons head, it was kinda cool. After listening to the old man I began to walk towards it. It's mouth was open and I saw stairs leading down into it. I was just about to step inside when a deep rumble shook the ground and the dragon began to speak. I jumped bavk and instinctively took a defensive pose and Happy hid under my vest. "Who deserves my slumber?" It asked. It's voice was deep and shook the sand but it also sounded old. Relaxing my posture I did the only sensible thing and answered."It is I, Natsu. Natsu Dragneel." The dragon's gaze shifted to look at me and it seemed to be deep in thought.
"Know this, touch nothing but the lamp." It then opened it's mouth and the stairs reappeared. Unsure of what to do I looked back at the old man and he gestured at me to go in. I looked to Happy, who nodded and put on a brave face, and with that we walked inside the mouth of the dragon.
