[Natsu's POV]
After I arrived at the palace the Sultan showed me around and too my guest house. I tried to ask more about Lucy but the Sultan would not shut up. He did at least point to Lucy's room during his tour, so at least I could go talk to her after dinner. While dinner was being cooked I decided to take a walk around the palace. Since I wasn't really a prince I had never been some where this nice. It was breathe taking, almost as much as Lucy was. While I was walking I ran into someone who was built like a brick. I looked up and saw a tall guy with long spikey black hair, red eyes, and piercings on his face. "Hey watch where you're going pinky." He said with a smile on his face. In the market place I would have paid this guy no mind but here I was a prince and I couldn't let this guy talk to me like that.
"Geeze you must not know who you're talking to metal head. I am Prince Igneel Dragneel and I demand an apology." I said with authority in my voice. The guy then began to laugh and put his hand on my head.
"You ain't no Prince. You may look like one but I know all of the princes of the continent and you ain't one of them." He said while looking smug. I was baffled. Everyone had just accepted the that I was a prince because of Grey's magic but this guy saw right through it. I knew that I had to think of something quick.
"I am. My kingdom is rather new and far away so I'm not surprised that you don't know of it."
"And what kingdom are you from again?" He asked still looking smug. God that look made me want to punch him.
"Magnolia. It's rather small but a nice place to rule." I said calmly. His smile only got wider after I said that and he chuckled.
"Funny cause my girlfriend told me that Magnolia has been established since the year 603 and that these days it's ruled by a man named Makarov," I gulped. Where's Grey when I need him I thought. "She also told me that his only son is blonde and named Laxus." That's it. I was busted. I'm sure my face turned white.
"Alright you got me. My name is Natsu Dragneel and I was a peasant but not anymore. I met Lucy in the market place when she ran away and just wanted to talk to her again. Just please don't tell anyone. I'm not here to hurt her. I just want to see her smile again." I looked at the guy in complete fear that he would rat me out. I wanted to punch him but that defiantly wouldn't end well. He looked so serious but yet amused at the same time. Then he asked a simple question.
"Do you love her?" I was taken aback by his question. It was so simple but so serious but I knew the answer. I've known since I saw her smile.
"Yes I do. I would do anything for her and I would never hurt her or let anyone else." He smiled at me and then patted my back.
"Alright Salamander. You're secret is safe with me. The names Gajeel by the way and I'm going to help you. Don't go knocking on the Princess's door. She's still super pissed about earlier. Go to her balcony and surprise her. My girlfriend will convince her to talk to you. And do it after everyone else has gone to bed. She likes to stay up and read." I had a smile on my face that was a mile wide. I was so close to seeing Lucy again that my heart was racing.
"Thanks Gajeel. I'm glad I didn't have to knock your lights out. That would have just made things worse." I said laughing. Then Gajeel started laughing.
"You're funny Salamander. Like you could actually take me in a fight." He said pushing my shoulder.
"Tell you what, after I win Lucy over and we're married you and me will square up. Deal?" I said meschivously.
