Girl Talk

After an evening spent in the warmth of good company, Nikki and Maryse returned to their shared hotel suite. The soft hum of the city below provided a gentle soundtrack as they closed the door behind them, the night still fresh in their minds.

Maryse kicked off her heels and sank into the plush couch, her mind buzzing with the events of the day. Nikki followed suit, tying her hair into a loose bun as she settled beside her. The suite was quiet, a peaceful contrast to the lively atmosphere they’d just left.

Nikki hesitated, her fingers idly playing with the edge of a throw pillow. She sighed, knowing there was no hiding anything from Maryse. They’d been friends for too long, and Maryse had a knack for reading people.

“Okay, fine,” Nikki admitted, her voice softening. “There might be something there. But it’s complicated, you know? We’re both so focused on our careers, and this life isn’t exactly easy when it comes to relationships.”
