Ling's pov

So, call me a stalker or whatever you want, but I found out who her boyfriend is. And let's just say I'm following him right now—literally.

We were in a narrow, dimly lit alley when he suddenly stopped and turned around, his eyes narrowing as he recognized my presence. "Stop following me," he snapped, his voice full of irritation.

Perfect, I thought, now I could finally let my anger out. Without a second thought, I shoved him hard against the alley wall, which was plastered with a chaotic mix of stickers, posters, and peeling paint.

"Shit, who are you?" he shouted, his voice rising in panic. But before he could say another word, I silenced him with a solid punch to the jaw.

"I'm someone you don't want to mess with," I hissed, leaning in close so he could see the seriousness in my eyes. "Now listen to me carefully." He nodded quickly, fear replacing the rage in his expression.

"You're going to break up with Orm Kornnaphat today. Not tomorrow, not next week—today. And don't you dare try any of that 'I'm going to kill myself' crap. Got it?" My voice was low but deadly serious.

He nodded again, too afraid to argue. "O-Okay, how much are we talking about?" he stammered, clearly more interested in the money than anything else.

I smirked. "More than you've ever seen in your life. But listen carefully—don't try to get smart with me. I know everything, and if you step out of line, that money will be the last thing you'll ever worry about." I could hear him gulp, his face pale with fear.

"Now go," I said, releasing my grip on him. He stumbled back, visibly shaken. What he didn't know was that during our little conversation, I had slipped a tiny recorder and tracker onto him. I'd know everything he did from now on.

...

Later, I had to make sure everything happened as planned. Don't blame me for not listening to the recorder—I heard he was a womanizer, and I didn't want to subject myself to hearing him being an asshole. Instead, I decided to visit Orm.

I knocked on her door and waited, but when I didn't hear anything, I decided to enter. She was standing right in front of the door, her expression unreadable.

"I was just about to open it," she said as I stepped inside.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to barge in. Are you feeling any better?" I asked, trying to gauge her mood.

She looked at me, a small, knowing smile playing on her lips. "Ling, don't you think I know you told him to break up with me?" she said, her tone a mix of amusement and exasperation.

I tried to feign ignorance, but her piercing gaze made it clear she wasn't buying it. "What? He broke up with you?" I tried lying, but her raised eyebrow told me she wasn't fooled.

I sighed, dropping the act. "Okay, fine. I did. But I was soft on him. Honestly, I wanted to kill him after everything I found out." I hesitated before continuing in a quieter voice, "It was simple. I just followed him, maybe threatened him a bit, and... okay, I punched his face. Just once, though."

"Ling!" she exclaimed, a mix of shock and amusement in her voice as she scolded me.

I shrugged, trying to steer the conversation away from my not-so-subtle actions. "Are you feeling better now?" I asked again, genuinely concerned.

She rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "Urgh, yes, you possessive little girl," she teased, ruffling my hair playfully. The height difference between us was something she never failed to bring up, much to my annoyance.

"Hey, I'm not little! You're just too tall," I retorted, pouting as I tried to smooth my hair back into place.

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that, tiny baby," she teased, patting my head again before heading back to her desk.

As she sat down, I couldn't help but notice how much lighter she seemed—like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. "How are you going with your mission?" I asked, leaning against the edge of her desk.

She looked up at me, confused. "Mission?"

I smirked. "The mission of making my boyfriend break up with me," I clarified, my tone light but with a hint of seriousness underneath.

Orm sighed, shaking her head. "You know, it is impossible," she said, though I could see the gratitude in her eyes.

I grinned, feeling a sense of satisfaction. "Yeah, but you have to try to be sure."
