Ling's pov

Standing in front of the full-length mirror, I could hardly believe the reflection staring back at me. The wedding dress hugged my body perfectly, the delicate lace and soft fabric making me feel like I was in a dream. My heart fluttered with excitement and a bit of nervousness as I smoothed down the front of the dress, trying to steady my racing thoughts.

*I'm going to marry Orm!*

The thought sent a wave of warmth through me, bringing a smile to my lips. This was it—the day we'd been waiting for, the day we'd promised each other. I could already imagine her waiting for me, looking as beautiful as ever. I could almost feel her hand in mine, steady and warm, grounding me like she always did.

As I was lost in the moment, admiring the way the dress flowed around me, a soft knock on the door pulled me back to reality. My heart skipped a beat, and I quickly turned toward the sound, wondering who it could be. I took a deep breath and crossed the room, carefully opening the door.

"Dad?"

My voice was barely a whisper, shock evident in my tone. My father stood there, looking uncertain but determined, his face a mix of emotions that I hadn't seen in a long time. I had never expected him to be here today, not after everything that had happened.

"I'm sorry," he began, his voice rough with emotion. "Even though I don't approve of this, I've come to realize that your happiness is what matters most. You look happier with that girl, so marry her. I won't stop you."

For a moment, I was stunned into silence, his words sinking in slowly. Then, without thinking, I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly. The scent of his cologne, familiar and comforting, filled my senses as tears welled up in my eyes.

"Thank you, Dad," I whispered, my voice trembling with emotion. It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, and the knot of anxiety in my chest loosened.

He pulled back slightly, looking at me with a small, proud smile. "I'll take you to the ceremony," he said softly, and I nodded, unable to speak past the lump in my throat.

I took his arm as we made our way down the hallway, each step bringing me closer to the moment that would change my life forever. The soft rustle of my dress against the floor was the only sound in the quiet corridor, the anticipation building with every passing second.

When we reached the doors to the ceremony, my heart was pounding so hard I was sure my father could hear it. The murmur of voices from inside the room filled the air, but it all faded into the background as my father gave me a reassuring nod.

With one final deep breath, I stepped through the doors, my father beside me. The guests were already seated, their eyes turning toward us as we entered. The space was beautifully decorated, the soft glow of candles casting a warm, inviting light over everything. But my eyes were only searching for one thing—Orm.

I found her at the end of the aisle, standing in front of the ceremonial arch. She looked absolutely stunning, her dress hugging her curves in all the right places, the soft fabric flowing gracefully around her. But it was her eyes that held me captive, the way they lit up when she saw me, filled with love and adoration.

As I walked toward her, each step seemed to stretch out, time slowing down as our eyes locked. My father squeezed my arm gently before releasing me at the altar, where I took my place beside Orm. She reached out, her hand trembling slightly as she took mine. The warmth of her touch sent a comforting wave through me, grounding me in the moment.

The ceremony began, the words of the officiant a soft, melodic backdrop to the emotions swirling inside me. Every word spoken felt like a vow not just to Orm, but to myself, a promise that I would cherish this moment for the rest of my life.

As we exchanged vows, I couldn't help but notice the tears brimming in Orm's eyes, the way her voice shook with emotion. Her words were simple but heartfelt, each one resonating deep within me, solidifying the bond we shared. When it was my turn, I spoke from my heart, letting her know just how much she meant to me, how deeply I loved her.

"I promise to stand by your side, to support you, to love you with everything I am," I said, my voice clear and strong despite the tears threatening to spill over. "You are my heart, Orm, and I am yours."

Orm's smile was radiant, a beacon of light that filled my world, and as the officiant pronounced us married, I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. They flowed freely as Orm pulled me into a kiss, sealing our vows with the warmth and passion that only she could evoke in me.

The kiss was soft, a gentle meeting of lips that held all the love we had for each other. The applause of our guests faded into the background, and for a few precious seconds, it was just the two of us, lost in each other.

When we finally pulled back, breathless and smiling, Orm leaned in close, her forehead resting against mine. "I love you," she whispered, her voice trembling with the intensity of her feelings.

"I love you too," I replied, my heart swelling with joy. The weight of everything we'd gone through to get here, all the obstacles, the fears, and the doubts, melted away, leaving only the pure, undeniable love we shared.

As we turned to face our friends and family, their cheers and applause rang out, a wave of support and love washing over us. I caught sight of my father in the crowd, his eyes shining with unshed tears. He gave me a small nod, a silent acknowledgment of the choice I had made, and in that moment, I knew I had his blessing.

The rest of the ceremony passed in a blur of smiles, laughter, and joyous tears. Orm and I were inseparable, our hands clasped tightly together as we greeted our guests, the overwhelming sense of happiness almost too much to bear.

When we finally had a moment to ourselves, Orm pulled me aside, her eyes still glistening with tears. "Can you believe we're actually married?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.

I smiled, shaking my head slightly. "No, but it feels right, doesn't it? Like this is how it was always meant to be."

Orm nodded, her hand gently brushing a stray tear from my cheek. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, Ling," she said, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and certainty.

I leaned in, capturing her lips in a soft kiss. "And I can't wait to spend mine with you," I whispered against her lips, the promise of our future together filling me with a warmth that I knew would never fade.

In that moment, standing there with the woman I loved more than anything in the world, I knew that no matter what challenges we might face, we would face them together. We were each other's forever, and nothing could ever change that.
