"I'd never let you see the real me"

The evening air was heavy with foreboding as Léon stood outside the school, his eyes fixed on the sleek, black car parked by the old church. The vehicle seemed to absorb the faint light of the setting sun, giving it an ominous presence that made Léon's skin crawl. His father's voice cut through the silence, "He wants to speak with you"

The words sent a shiver down Léon's spine, for he knew exactly who his father was referring to. The one who had been manipulating his life from the shadows, pulling the puppet strings of fate with an iron grip.

Léon's eyes narrowed as he approached the car, his gaze fixed on the door with a cold, calculating intensity. He glared at the door, his jaw clenched, as if daring it to stay closed. With a soft click, the door swung open, revealing the dark, leather-lined interior. Léon's eyes flicked to the opening, his expression unchanging, before he stepped inside.

He settled into the back seat, his movements economical and precise, his eyes fixed on some point ahead. The door closed behind him with a soft thud, enveloping him in silence. Léon's gaze didn't waver, his eyes fixed on the darkness ahead, as if refusing to acknowledge the presence beside him.

The person sitting next to him chuckled, a low, menacing sound that sent a shiver down Léon's spine. "Ah, Léon, always a pleasure," the voice said, dripping with malice. "If you won't acknowledge me, I suppose I'll just have to acknowledge myself." The voice laughed again, a cold, mirthless sound.

Léon's eyes rolled heavenward, his expression a mask of disdain. The person beside him sighed, a soft, calculated sound. "Léon, always so serious. Perhaps this will lighten the mood." A slim, silver case appeared in the person's hand, opening with a soft click to reveal a row of sleek, black cigarettes.

The case was offered to Léon, who took a cigarette in silence, his eyes never leaving the darkness ahead. The person beside him smiled, a cold, cruel smile, as Léon's fingers closed around the cigarette. The air was heavy with tension, the silence between them thick with unspoken words.

The person's voice dripped with malice as he spoke, "My boy, how's school? I hope you're not getting too comfortable." The words hung in the air like a challenge, a gauntlet thrown down by a master manipulator.

Léon's response was laced with sarcasm, his voice cold and detached. "Oh, it's just peachy. Thanks for asking." He spat out the words like venom, his eyes never leaving the darkness ahead.

The man's laughter was like a cold wind, sending shivers down Léon's spine. "Ah, Léon, always so quick with the wit. I'm glad to see you're still... sharp."

Léon blew out his cigarette, the smoke curling lazily into the air as he gazed out into the darkness. The man's tone turned serious, his voice dripping with menace. "I've been thinking about your mother's... current situation. She's been quite... accommodating, hasn't she? So fragile, so helpless... and yet, so willing to do whatever it takes to keep you safe."

Léon's eyes blazed with fury, his voice thundering through the darkness. "YOU'RE MONSTROUS! YOU'RE USING HER LIKE A PAWN! SHE'S SUFFERING BECAUSE OF YOU!"

The man's smile grew wider, his voice calm and collected. "Ah, Léon, don't be dramatic. She's simply... motivated. And soon, you will be too."

Léon's anger boiled over, his words spilling out in a torrent of rage. "I'LL KILL YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO HER! I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR EVERY MOMENT SHE'S SUFFERED!"

The man's laughter was like a cold wind, cutting through Léon's anger. "I'm looking forward to it, Léon. But until then, let's just focus on the task at hand, shall we?"
