Seungmin POV

"Lix. Bro." You brought them here?" Prince Jeongin hissed , leaning heavily on his older brother, complaining as we entered into a back door of the Lee Mansion.

"Relax, Jeongin. Binnie's already been here- he won't tell anyone." Prince Felix patted him, ruffling his hair, like you'd do with an annoying sibling.

I smirked, finding their dynamic cute. "Um... If you just get me back to my car, I'm happy to go." I offered, embarrassed- feeling I was most surely not welcome.

Prince Felix leveled a look at his brother, shoving him harshly. "Can't you just be nice for one day?" he accused. "Minho is having a great day; I'd really like to spend some time with my boyfriend." He spoke low out of the side of his mouth. "Can't you find something to be happy about?"

Changbin smiled cutely, blushing at Prince Felix's words. Boyfriends, huh? Hadn't known about that title. "Lixxie..." Changbin whispered, reaching out for him. "It's okay. I can take Dr. Kim back, and we can see each other later." He offered.

"Fuck it." I blurted. I shook my head and spun on my heel eager to get away from that mess. I was fucking sick of them talking like I wasn't there. It was clear the dimpled prince was not interested in me, but that was no reason for Bin and Felix's day to be ruined. I was the problem. I would remove myself and they could all go about their business. I heard footsteps behind me, but didn't care.

It fucking sucked, yeah.

But...

Having a crush that never liked me back was my specialty. I stalked down the hallways- so similar to the Han family mansion, except... light- colorful, like they'd made it a home rather than a fortress. I was aware if I was caught, I could be killed on sight, but that wasn't top priority at that moment. Getting away from that beautiful, cruel, fox eyed prince was. I pushed open a door after weaving my way down several hallways until I didn't hear footsteps behind me. Guess my stalker had given up. It was risky, opening random doors in a castle belonging to my boss's enemy but I did anyway and as I entered, my eyes swept up, in awe.

The walls were thirty feet high, easily- lined floor to ceiling with white and gold shelves, a rainbow of books catching the light streaming through the skylights and windows. Of all the places I could have found, I had found the Lee family library- a place of legend, where countless scholars had poured over texts, changing the world I existed in.

I walked forward, my hand reaching out, touching the stack to my right, eyes dazzled by so many tomes. I found my way through the shelves, losing myself down row after row, pulling a title here and there to examine and commit the title to memory in hopes of finding it again elsewhere. I checked my phone when it pinged, sighing.

Text from Big Bin

Big Bin: Yo- you good, man?

Me: Good. Found the library.

Enjoy some time with your cutie.

Big Bin: Kk. I'll text you later.

Me: 😊

I put my phone back in my pocket, grabbing a book- thinking reading in the afternoon sun would be a great idea. I found a plush blue chair, curling up with the book, smiling to myself. If I couldn't have the sexy prince, I could at least read one of my favorite love stories of all time.
