Chp 21

San struggled to balance himself as he carried a towering stack of papers in his arms, carefully avoiding stumbling on the floor. "Uwaa~ Where's Soobin? I need to give him these papers." he asked the omega girl at the front desk after setting down the heavy stack.

"Mr. San, he mentioned he'd be taking some time off this morning." The omega politely replied.

"Huh? That workaholic actually took a day off?" San muttered to himself, scratching his chin. "That's rare... Oh well, I guess I'll let him have today to himself. Must be something important."

When Soobin stepped into the living room, he noticed the sweet smile playing on the omega's blushing face. However, it wasn't for him—it was for another alpha on the phone call, making the omega squirm in his seat.

"Sorry for the short notice, Soob. Thanks for joining us here." Beomgyu said, subtly smiling at the alpha sitting on the singular couch across from him.

"It's no big deal."

Beomgyu averted his gaze, feeling overwhelmed. "The next time we met, I wanted it to be a happier occasion, but this... This is about my case..." he murmured shyly.

"You've made your decision, huh?" Soobin said flatly, staring at the omega's small figure.

"Yeah."

"I had a hunch since this was such a sudden call. But if this is what you've decided to do... You'll have my support." Soobin said, offering his warmest smile, making Beomgyu's eyes widen.

"Although, I do think you need a written agreement, no matter what." he added, adjusting his eyeglasses.

Beomgyu smiled cutely at the alpha. "Yes, Soobie. Taehyun mentioned that would be best, given everything that's happened. That was also his legal advice."

Soobin pursed his lips tightly and nodded. "Well, that makes sense. His attorney is my mentor, after all." he said, giving a thumbs up.

"REALLY?!"

"Let's make a list of everything you're requiring for this agreement. But if anything's too outlandish, I'll have to let you know."

"MAKE HIM GIVE TAEJUNIE'S SUPPORT EVERY MONTH!" Kai exclaimed from the kitchen, having just finished cleaning the dishes. He raised a fist in the air competitively. Soobin laughed, grabbing his notepad and pen.

"Huh?!" Beomgyu watched his two friends in amusement, covering his mouth to hold back his laughter. He had been so scared to bring up such a heavy topic like the legal dispute with his dear friends, but they had both been so understanding of his situation... especially the alpha, Choi Soobin.

"Ah~ It feels like it's been so long since we've all been together like this." Kai said, his sweet smile widening on his radiant face as he giggled. The alpha remained silent in his seat, contentedly watching the two with a heart full of warmth.

There was a time when I didn't give a damn about school.  Soobin suddenly pondered out loud, glancing down at the notes he had written.
