Chapter 6: After Effects

The Morning After

Kia and Jasiah woke up next to each other, cuddling together after an unforgettable night. Jasiah simply looks at Kia, filled with admiration. That's when she wakes up from her sleep, lying on his chest next to him.

Kia: Why are you staring at me? (laughs nervously)

Jasiah: I love the view, I could get used to this.

Kia: Used to what?

Jasiah: Waking up next to you everyday.

Kia: It may not be everyday but I could also get used to this.

Jasiah: How about we make it a thing, maybe twice a week?

Kia: (smiles) I like that.

After giving her a kiss, Jasiah says, "I'm so in love with you. How did I get so lucky?" "I don't know but you're one lucky man," Kia replies with a smile. They then changed into their clothes and got ready to return back to campus.

Kia's Dorm

Kia hears a knock on her door

Niaomi: heeyyy how was everything??!

Kia: It was amazing, I'm guessing you helped and you knew about everything.

Niaomi: I helped made sure you were dressed down but not everything else (laughs)

Kia shows her the promise ring. When Niaomi sees something.

Niaomi: Wait, are those hickeys on your neck ??

Kia: Omg frl??!

Niaomi: Yesss , I can see how y'all got down (laughs)

Kia: (nervously laughs) it was a time

Niaomi: He actually did good as fuck, this ring so gorgeous.

Kia: He remembered I like gold jewelry.

Meanwhile With The Guys

Kyree: So everything went according to plan?

Jasiah: Yup I stamped her fasho.

Kyree: How did she react? Did she know?

Jasiah: Nahhh, she was in total shock especially when I pulled out the ring.

Kyree: A Ring??! You proposed?

Jasiah: A promise ring dumb ass (laughs)

Kyree: (laughs) my bad, that's still a huge step.

Jasiah: She is the right direction, I would absolutely marry her.

Back in Kia's dorm

Kia sees her phone ringing and it's her mom.

Camille: Heeyy baby, you've been hard to get in touch with miss.

Kia: Sorry mama, Just been a lil busy.

Camille: Too busy for your mama? And let me guess it's mr.Jasiah taking up your time.

Kia: Never too busy for you, I just haven't been hearing my phone when you call.

Camille: I'm just a little worried about you baby, But I know I raised you strong.

Kia: Yes you did, And I have been with Jasiah. He actually asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday.

Camille: Oh my goodness, that's great news! Just tell him he better not hurt my baby.

Niaomi: I'll make sure he doesn't but I know he is in love with your daughter Miss Brown.

Camille: Oh hey Niaomi, I didn't know you were there.

Niaomi: Hi Miss Brown.

Camille: But I'm gonna let you girls go, Kallie is getting out of practice.

These three girls approached Jasiah and Kyree as they were talking outside the commissary.

Neveah: Boy dont act like you don't see me. (tries to hug him)

Jasiah: Yo. don't touch me! (moves away)

Neveah: What's your problem?

Jasiah: You are, I don't want you touching me.

Kamryn: Don't be doing my girl like that. But heyy ky (touches arm)

Kyree: (moves his arm) Leave me and dawg alone, come bothering us.

Aaliyah: I told them not to come over here.

Neveah: No because Siah has been ditching and dodging my calls.

Jasiah: Maybe because I don't wanna talk to you.

Kyree: Mann let's go find our girls.

Neveah: WHO?!

Aaliyah: (tries to pull neveah and kamryn) y'all let's go.

Neveah: Im not calling your sister a bitch im calling the one you're supposedly fucking with.

Neveah: A RING?! Siah you are so full of shit because you were entertaining me a while ago like don't play in my face.

Neveah: But best believe I will find out who this girl is.

Jasiah: Me and her locked in, aint nun you can say or do.

Neveah, Kamryn, and Aaliyah walk away. As Kia is walking to class she notices a lot of arguing and sees Jasiah and Kyree with a group of females.
