Chapter 14: The Big Question

Kia and Jasiah talked everything out and got back on the same page. It's finally been a whole year and it's time for Jasiah to come back. He's picked up from the airport by Kyree and Niaomi.

Niaomi: There's my big headed brother (walking up to hug him)

Kyree: Yooo my dawg (dapping him up)

Jasiah: I appreciate yall for coming to pick yo boy up.

Kyree: Anytime bro.

Niaomi: So you really aint tell her you were coming today?

Jasiah: No, it's a surprise, and I have something to do before seeing her.

Kyree: We know you always got something planned.

Jasiah: Ofc but i just need yall to not mention you seen me yet.

Kyree: Fashoo we got you.

Niaomi: What do you got up your sleeve (looks at him in curiosity)

Jasiah: Don't ask no questions and just do it (laughs)

Niaomi: Mhmm I guess.

Later that day he went to go see his parents.

Scott's Residence

Mama Joyce: My baby is back (hugging him tightly)

Anthony: Don't suffocate him now joy.

Jasiah: (laughs) I missed you mama.

Mama Joyce: Look at you all buff and strong.

Anthony: Must be in the gym, that's right son.

Jasiah: (laughs) But I got something serious to talk to you both about.

Anthony: We are all ears.

Jasiah: I'm going to be proposing to kia.

Mama Joyce: THAT'S AMAZING!

Anthony: Wow this is a big step, are you ready for it?

Jasiah: Yes, she's the one.

Mama Joyce: I'm so proud of you son, Kia is an amazing girl for you.

Anthony: If you're happy, then I'm happy for you son.

Jasiah: I appreciate you guys.

A few days have passed, and Jasiah has yet to see Kia or inform her of his return. He's been very busy getting everything ready and prepared for what's to come. While doing so he has been trying to avoid running into her. He gave her mother a call and said he'd arrange for her to fly out for a very special day for Kia. Without giving any exact details on exactly what, he had told her to not mention anything they talked about over the phone to Kia.

At Kia's dorm room, Jasiah went to surprise her. Before jumping out to surprise her with flowers in his hand, he knocks on her door and waits on the side of the door as she opens it.

Jasiah: SURPRISE BABY!

Kia: (stood there in shock) Wait, when did you get here?! You didn't even tell me you were coming.

Jasiah: That doesn't matter right now (grabbing her waist and kissing her intensely)

Still kissing her, he pushed her back into the room.

Kia: (breaking away from the kiss) Hold on, I'm about to fall.

Jasiah: I don't care, I missed you so damn much.

Kia: I missed you too.

As she admires him they hold onto each other, rubbing her hands from his face to his strong shoulders.

Kia: I see the gym has been paying off.

Jasiah: Oh you like the results don't you?

Kia: Let's not get ahead of yourself.

Jasiah: (laugh) You know you like it, stop playing.

Kia: Mhm.

Jasiah: As much as I want to strip everything off you right now, I'll save it for later.

Kia: Is that so but why do you say that?

Jasiah: I got a surprise.

Kia: What could top you finally being back?

Jasiah: Something way better, imma let you get dressed and i'll be back to pick you up.

Kia: You're so full of surprises but okay.

Jasiah: You already know how I get down.

After planting a kiss on her lips, he walks off to make sure everything is arranged. Letting everyone know to meet up at the catalina park. He talked to her mom and received her blessing to marry her Kia. The large white illuminated letters that read "Will You Marry Me" was the centerpiece of his setup and decoration. including a stroll way leading to the center covered in rose petals. As they arrived at their destination, he blindfolded her eyes. She was unable to see anyone because they were all hiding nearby, including her mother, Kyree, and Niaomi. As they saw Jasiah guide her, they were all smiling with excitement.

Kia: Where are we , can I take the blindfold off now?

Jasiah: You've been asking a lot of questions but yes you can.

As she untied the blindfold and took it off. Jasiah had already got down on his knees holding out the beautiful ring that was shining bright inside the little box. She covered her mouth with her hands as tears began to form in her eyes.

Jasiah: As we've been through so much together, and it wasn't easy. But being apart from you for so long and you still continued to be there by my side made me realize you were always endgame for me. I love you so much baby and I want you to be more than just my girlfriend. I want you to carry on my last name and build a life with you. Kia Williams, will you marry me?

Kia: (cries) YES OF COURSE!

He places the ring on her finger and runs into her arms picking her up as he places an intimate kiss on her soft lips. Everybody had came out from hiding and started clapping and smiling in joy for them.

Kia: Omgg you guys were here the whole time?

Niaomi: Yes girll i'm so happy for you!

Camille: Congratulations baby (hugging kia tightly)

Kia: Thank you!

Kyree: Congrats fam, my boy did his big one.

Jasiah: (dapping him up) You already know how I had to come.
